id like to see it happen bfore replacin parts, but the control panel is the only "control for bake" there is no "resetable thermostat", and it uses direct spark , not an ignitor( usual suspect)..perhaps after long heating the relay on the control heats up and doesnt close correctly
Replacing capacitor C3 on the clock board will correct the dimming problem. I will cost you about $2 for the part. Replacing the board does the same thing just with a higher price tag. Unfortunately, tt sounds like you may have a bad "new" board if this problem happened as soon as you put it in.
When I had the dim display problem with mine, the oven still heated up, chimed at temp, etc -- you just couldn't see the numbers. My wife didn't like it, so I fixed it. If your old board works like mine did even though the display is dark, you could try replacing the noted capacitor and see what happens.
it sounds like the clock on the oven has been adjusted, if the clock has been adjust the fan will continue to "Cool Down" the oven for the period set on the clock, it is also a possibility tht the clock is faulty, is the clock digital or Analouge
rmedrano, Try pressing and holding the stop-time and cancel pads together for 5 seconds, see if it comes back to life. If not, try the cancel and clock keypads together for 3 seconds. First is the control lock-out funtion and the second is the display blank mode. If these fail to work, you are going to have to test for power at the board. The clock (ERC) has a 3 year warranty incase you have to call for service. Catriver.post back.
