    do you have a solution

  • petermorrone Mar 08, 2008

do you mean AC power...not that i am aware of.

The clock is always very dim, on a sunny day, you can hardly read the numbers.

DOes the display module control the oven?

Is there a separate power supply or is it built into the display module?

Have you any experience with this stove?

Where do you find the part for less than 100 dollars, you dont even know which model it is.

They seem to go for over 200 dollars. Again, what is your qualification to send me off and spend 200 dollars on a part? Your profile seems to indicate that you are experienced in computer related products, not ovens.

Unfortunately it is not possible to make the display brighter. The only
solution is to replace the entire clock/timer. The price for the part
is less then a hundred dollars

Lights showing oven temp are too dim to read -- difficult to set oven temp. model feb756cetf self cleaning wall oven

Good Morning Friend,

I understand the control panel is dim and hard to read, on your Frigidaire oven, model# FEB756CETF. Please try resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and set the clock. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

I think there are some electrolytic capacitors in the power supply to be replaced.Because there are relatively few, it would be good to change them all for more safety

Did I damage electronics after using auto clean feature?

Sounds like there may have been a power failure or problem with the voltage when you were using this or before you did. Try shutting off the breaker for 5 minutes, turn it back on. This will reset the board in the oven. Then see if it works. If it still is defective, the voltage 'surge' may have destroyed the board. You may be able to turn it in to your insurance if that is the case, as from a storm that took out the oven when it hit and the power went out and then came back on. A clue is the keypad lights go dim and brighter then dim again.

The problem is in the keypad control board, this item alone is at least $97.00 for the part and does not include labour.

My clock and temperature display is dim

Hi, this will happen over a period of time and its just heat related. the control panel isn't insulated properly and , there has been a larger than normal transfer of heat to the inside of the control panel where the circuits are housed.

If this is a problem, i recommend replacing the control board. it will fix the dim issue.
