When I power on the c250 my Sandisk screen comes up but dosen't do anything else; It stays on the intro screen until it turns itself off or I remove the battery. The funny thing is that I was using it just one hour before I started experiancing the problem and can't seem to find a solution no matter if I unplug the battery or remove the 2GB MicroSD before using it. I have repeatedly tried contacting the company through phone and email but have yet to get ANY response to my problem. I purchased the player to save money but after spending $150 for entire setup I feel a bit ripped off. PLEASE HELP SOLVE MY PROBLEM or I may just give up on Sandisk and their products entirely. Waiting for a reply, Larry Blackburn

Go ahead and do this, in case the DB is corrupted:
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx

Computer won't reconize my sandisk mp3 player

Hi, just had the same problem after restoring my system.

You must disconnect and update your Windows Media Player to Number 11. My reinstall left me at WMP 9 and it wouldn't recognise my Clip. Go to the Windows website, follow the download instructions, and you should be fine. When you plug in the Sansa Clip or MP3, it should recognise it right away. Hope this helps!

Sandisk sansa clip mp3 player

I had a similar experience with my Sansa Clip MP3. It wouldn't come on at all, and when I connected it to my computer, a malfunctioning error came up. After browsing the net, I saw a suggestion to fix the problem.

Simply, you must slide and hold the power button for about 15 seconds. This should reset it.
Try to put it on again and it should work! Goodluck!
