Burner goes out when cabinet door is opened!

posted by 5524heb on Mar 08, 2008

I have two pop in Gaggenau gas burner cook tops that replaced my gas Thermador unit. The problem is: when on low to simmer the flame sucks out when I open the lower cabinet. It even does it when one of the two doors is wide open and I pull the other side open! I've paid for a technician who contacted Gaggenau with no solution. I think that for the price of these things there should be more interest in solving some of the CUSTOMERS problems.
I have the same problem.

i haven't worked on one of these models hands on but on most you can pull the burner **** and look inside you should see a tiny ***** in there hold the outer piece with a pair of pliers and take a tiny screwdriver and after turning the burner on turn the ***** to adjust the flame just enough so the suction doesn't blow the flame out on the lowest setting
