- tried reset, and pulling the pins can hear the sound but the BUS-E70 Error is still there, nothing on the screen (this is a dvd,cd, in car navigation system
I will assume that the error message is immediately shown after powering on, if yes, is there an external device such as a thumb drive, USB mass storage player or an iPod (Video or Nano using KCA-iP300V) attached to the Kenwood KVT-9200? If yes, can you pls try powering it up without any external device?
If none, can you pls try a systems reset? Normally Kenwood units have a small recessed reset button.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
A BUS error indicates communication error from your head unit (HU) to an external device such as those initially posted. Additionally, this could be an external amplifier using the LX bus exclusive to Kenwood units. Alternately, this could be just about anything outside of the HU such as an external antenna for the GPS. Since the unit performs a self diagnostic when powered on, it will try to verify the connectivity of such external devices and failure to sense any of them would result to an error message. I'm sorry but I do not have the E70 error designation.
On some comparable brands, errors could also be caused by the faceplate not firmly seated or its contact points not mating right with the unit's pins. Sometimes they get bent out of position, tarnished or simply gets a bit of dust.
If you have checked all the connectors, wirings, frontpanel contacts and have even done a reset, perhaps your best bet would then be to seek the services of a qualified professional or the nearest Kenwood's Service Center.

I have a Kenwood KHD-C710 installed in my truck with a kenwood head unit. Worked great no probs. I bought a used one off ebay and installed in my car with another kenwood head unit. Every time I tried to go to my cd changer control to operate the keg the head unit would jump straight to AUX and would never acknowledge the keg. I decided to trouble shoot the system by part swapping with my trucks' unit and when I plugged the cartridge into my trucks' Keg. It did the same thing, head unit jumped to AUX. Now when I plug my previously good system together it still jumps to AUX. It is almost like the cartridge had a virus in it. Has anyone else had this problem and if so was there any solution???? HELP!!!! I want to get all of my CDs back!!!
