Hi, I have a Tom Tom Go730, I had the same problem after updating to the latest version of Tom Tom Home, I have only used it twice, I followed all the instructions on the Tom Tom site, formatted the device, then used the flash tool after reinstalling all the required files I had copied to my computer. I trusted that this would fix it, but NO, I still have the red flashing cross and nothing else. I am upset, we need to use the Tom Tom for a special event soon. Can anyone help me please. Kind Regards Christine,

My tomtom 700 turns on but just stays on the green screan

Hello
Here is some more information for you to follow to guide you step my step. Device displays a white or red cross
If your navigation device displays a cross after you switch it on, it means that the TomTom application is not installed correctly.
Note: It is normal for the navigation device to show a cross while it is connected to the computer.

The solution depends on which TomTom software is used for updating. Check which software your navigation device uses for getting updates.

Sorry wrong Question.......I'm really frustrated right now. I have a TOMtom XL 30 Series that will now show nothing but a Big Red X when I plug it into my Truck.....HELP !!!!!

It is quite common tomtom bug.
Do: 1. backup restore or 2. copy all original SD files to your new formated SD card. Restart TomTom and see if it works.

I have a tomtom720 that is now refusing to go past the start up screen. Pressing reset or holding the 'on' button does not do anything. How might I reboot or reload software?

Try to restore the firmware first. If that fails, there may be a motherboard issue. There is a third party tomtom Repair service that will replace the logic board and a tomtom repair guide if you want to replace it yourself, the screen is available on ebay.

Tomtom won't work

I think that means you do not have a card installed in the sat-nav

My tomtom720 is stuck on on route planned. I have

have you tried the master reset?

plug it in to the usb port on your computer for a few hours.if that fails, then try the master reset.

note: that the master reset will erase all your saved data

with the unit off,and unplugged, try pressing and holding your finger on the low right corner of the screen and slide the power switch to the on position until you see the message "confirm if you really want to delete all user data?" hit yes and let it restart. then it will set up the nuvi again, so follow the prompts.

if that fails, hook up the nuvi to the web updater and get the latest update.

download the updater HERE

(actually i would do this either way)
