No sound out of the pioneer vsx-1121-k

Hello,
Try removing all the speaker and the HDMI connections; then use a headphone to listen to music from the tuner or a CD in stereo mode. Better in direct mode. If you hear your music correctly the receiver could be working correctly. If no music is heard, you may need to have it repaired professionally.
If you can hear music, connect the main FL & FR speakers and verify you can hear music that way, without the headphone connected.
If you can hear music that way, connect the center and rears. Try a mode that uses all channels to verify all sound channels are working.
Then, and only then start adding your HDMI connections.
Good luck

My receiver only plays front speakers. when i put it in surround mode none of the speakers will play and the sub even in stereo mode is barely a whisper of sound. i dont have a remote for it but it goes...

you don't need a remote. to me sounds like you might have a connection problem. try and do a test tone which will send a test signal to all the speakers. starts from left to right etc. if you cant hear all the speakers you need to check all connection wires etc. hope this helps

Closed captioning on ONkyo remote control

If you are sure this feature is included in the TV, usually turning off the speaker or pressing a MUTE button on the remote will start the CC process. There may be a slight delay before it starts.

Why do my right speaker inputs cause fuzzy sound?

HI KYLE...

I think I have experienced this problem before with my Sony stereo set. It could be a sign that your receiver's amplifier is giving out. Best that you can do is bring it over to an audio repair shop for a checkup. If my suspicion is right, you're gonna have to replace it with a new one. Don't worry, amplifier chips are not that expensive.

And lastly, when any part or component is replaced, be sure to ask the technician to give it to you. You can keep it for your reference.

I turn the power on to my RX-318 and a few seconds later it sounds like something else is kicking on....then I dont hear any sound from my speakers. I dont know if theres a fuse blown, the amp is going out...

Sounds like the automatic circuit protection. Check to make sure you have good speakers and NO shorted wires to them. Too many spearkers conected to the outputs will cause the same problem.

I can't get closed caption off my tv

Im not sure what system you have but, usually if you go into the "menu", easiest to do with remote, You can scroll through your options until you come across CC, or closed caption. click on it and disable.

I have a pioneer VSX-1019AH-k receiver connected to a Samsung LED tv via HDMI. I am trying to use Closed Caption, but when I click on CC on the TV remote it says Not Available. Any help getting CC to work?

close captioning on a tv is usually only available for use when the antenna inputs are being used. it has no way to process a cc from an auxiliary source. you should have the capability of cc with a menu item in the cable or satellite box and with the subtitle command in your dvd. good luck

Just hooked up Coax cable; now talking is barely audible

is the center speaker turned up in the reciever speaker settings? each speaker can be adjusted to a level that is higher or lower or all the same as the rest. also is the dolby digital turned on in the reciever settings? and changing the surround sound pre set sounds can also improve the type of audio you are listening to in 6.1 surround sound
