You must know your motherboard. Download Belark Advisor (freeware) which will tell you exacty what motherboard and all need to nowabout it, plus everything elso you have on your computor, and then go to to the manufacturer's website to find out processors compatible with it. If its Intel, it's a snap.

With notebook there are not many upgrades available, but if you are using a lot of multi-media it is savvy to increase you memory.
My suggestion is that you look to go up to 2 Gb; you should see a nice different on performances.
