Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How do I change the zone on my Soniq E32W13D-AU?

You should have got a red card with the AU and NZ customer support numbers on it. If you phone them, they will tell you how to unblock the player to make it region free.

On the Soniq QV191LC TV and DVD player, you follow these steps. It may work for your model but if it doesn't, try the support line.

1. Switch on
2. Switch to DVD mode (use Source button on remote)
3. Select DVD setup menu (press DVD button on remote)
4. Select Preferences page (use > key on remote)
5. Press '0' key 4 times on remote: the Region Code menu will appear
6. Use up and down on remote to select region (0 of course)
7. Press exit button.

You should now be region free.

Try these numbers:
AU 1300 765 663 / (61) 3 9543 5111
NZ (64) 9 2667512

If it's any help, you can download the manual here:

Good luck!

Hi, I didn't find anywhere how to unlock my Toshiba DR7 DVD Video recorder to make it multi regional. I've looked EVERYWHERE on the web and I can't seem to find any info on codes for this brand. Can you...

There is no magic code that unlocks dvd players / recorders to make them multi regional. The only option you have is to purchase a region free unit.

Currently Region 2 - I want to make it region free

Manufacturers of DVDs and DVD players install codes that only allow us to play DVDs that are manufactured for our region. (For example, the U.S. and Canada are region 1, while China is region 6.) To make your DVD player region-free, you'll need to find the unlock codes that will allow it to play DVDs from all over the world. Below are some steps to help make your DVD player region-free.

Purchase or borrow an imported DVD. The only real reason to make your DVD player region-free is if you plan on watching imported DVDs. Locate your DVD player's brand name and model number. These can usually be found on the box the DVD player came in, or on a sticker close to the video inputs or on the bottom of the DVD player. Have your remote handy. You will need your remote to enter the input codes into your DVD player. Locate a Web site that can help you with the codes you need for your particular DVD player, since all DVD players have different codes. Try DVD Exploder or Video Help (see Resources below). Both have an extensive list of codes for almost every kind of DVD player manufactured. Enter your brand name and model number when prompted to do so on the Web site. If your particular model number is not available, try searching under the brand name. Sometimes you will be able to find a model number that is close to your DVD player's model number. Enter the codes into your DVD player with your remote. Be sure the DVD player's door is open-almost all codes require the door to be open. Test your imported DVD to see if it works, once you have entered your code into the DVD player.

Hi there, need to region free matshita 867s dvd rom. any solution available??

There is a solution, but it costs money, I'm afraid:
http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html

"AnyDVD works in the background to automatically remove the copy protection of a DVD movie as soon as it's inserted into the drive, allowing you then to backup the movie using a DVD backup tool such as CloneDVD and CloneDVD mobile. You can also remove the RPC region code, thereby making the movie region free and viewable on any DVD player and with any DVD player software."

It doesn't make the drive itself region-free, but strips out the region code of any DVD put into it...which has much the same effect.  You can play anything from anywhere, and if you're copying (your own legally purchased, of course) films, the copy is region-free.

I am in Australia and have just bought a DMR BW500. I have a dvd from Japan which won't work on it and I have been told that if I unlock the region code, then it will work. So how do I unlock the region...

The following works on a region 4 player. With no disc in the player and the drawer closed, press stop, stop, setup, then 3,8,8,8,3 and the desired region code, (0 for multiregion). Nothing will appear on screen. Then switch the player off and back on. It should now play discs for any region

How do you reset the region code for a Panasonic dvd XP50?

you do a search for "region free hack" and the name / model of your player. not all players are capable bu most are. if you find one set it to region 0 ZERO that is simply put the play anything region

I fully support region free as I think the consumer should be able to buy dvds anywhere they want and watch what they want. Nor do I class the type of hack as piracy in any way now wheres my parrot and cutlas

Hack to make region-free

You just need to google for its codes to be applied on remote control. No DVD player manufacturer can sell DVD players region free out of the box as they are prohibited from doing so to avoid DVDs of one region from playing in another region. Same applies to DVD playback software or DVD ROM Drives, but this strategy has failed as once you buy any of this product, it can be made region free and any DVD you buy anywhere in world, you can play it.

hope that helped

Un-lock dvd region code

Power up the unit with no cd/dvd on the tray
Press "eject" on your remote to eject the tray
Press "setup" on your remote
Key in "5018" using your remote
Key in "0"
Press "play" on your remote

Tada~ a region free dvd recorder

Tried this but unfortunately the machine keeps reverting back to Region 4.

Has a step been left out or is there some other way of changing the code to "0".
