Hello to all. In my church we are having a problem with the fact that we need more AUX channels on our board. The mixer that we have, is a (RQ4332). I can't seem to find an AUX mixer available from Peavey. Any ideas?

You should not have to specifically plug a servo into the AUX for binding. try a dif. receiver to see if it works.

Can i use karaoke mic in harman avr 245 ?

No. The 245 doesn't have a microphone input. Besides, the speakers for a home surround sound system are a bit too delicate for the distortion levels generated by karaoke.

Here's a $300 speaker (yes, $300 for a single speaker) wrecked from teens doing karaoke. They then bust it more messing around trying to push the tweeter cone together so the crack wouldn't be so noticeable

If you still want to go ahead with the idea then you'll need some other bits of gear. For simplicity sake I'd recommend a karaoke CD+G player. It will have mic inputs, vocal echo, and take care of putting the works up on screen.

The alternative is a mixer with effects (echo, reverb) - Cheap is Behringer Xenyx 1202FX

and a source device for music and graphics. This could be your PC, but you'll then need to go trawling for karaoke files and you'll need some software to play them and do the words. Sax & Dotty is pretty good software.

The PC sound needs to be connected to the mixer in a stereo channel. The mic goes in mono on a mic channel. The output of the mixer goes to the AVR on an AUX input.

I have a lexicon mpx100 dual channel processor and a spirit powered mixer. could you tell me how to connect it to the mixer and does it need a stereo footswitch regards lawrence

Footswitch is just an option for activating MPX. There are a couple ways to connect, but easiest is to run cables from AUX outputs to MPX then return cables from MPX to 2 open channels, using them to apply effects.

I am trying to hook my wii to my Onkyo receiver. The Plasma is a Pioneer and you can't hook the Wii directly to it. I have the yellow, white, red cable that comes with the Wii.

Hello Julie

Thank you for using Fixya!!

OK, this is actually very easy once you get the hang of it:

The Yellow, Red and white cable you have, is actually the Video(Yellow) and the 2 stereo Audio cables(Red and White).

Now, the Yellow wire goes into the video port on the gaming unit, and into the Video input port on the TV itself. This is usually The AV channel's port.

The white and Red cable goes into the audio port on the gaming console, and into the audio in or AUX port on the receiver.

This should do the trick, but you will need to remember the following:

Once you want to use the gaming device, you should set the TV on the AV channel, n=and the receiver on the AUX channel.

Feel free to let me know if yu need any further assistance.

Kind regards

How to connect microphone to Yamaha RX-V365 as a PA system.

Home-theatre receivers don't have microphone inputs. If you want to use the receiver as an amplifier in PA system, you need to use some kind of mic pre-amp or a mixer with mic inputs.
For PA mixer is needed anyway almost every time and all mixers have at least one mic input (with a pre-amp). Mixers have line-level output(s), which you can connect to the analog input of receiver.
Using receiver as an amp in PA has advantage that you have 5 channel amp. When using high sensitive PA speakers (as oposed to less sensitive Hi-fi home speakers), you can get good performance with the power rating of receiver. You could even use 2 separate channels for subwoofers and 2 channels for satelite speakers - but for that you would need a receiver with 5.1 analog inputs and special device called crossover which would divide the output from mixer into low-frequency signal and high-frequency signal which you would then connect to the front and rear analog inputs. But with RX-V365 you can use only 2 channels with analog input

No input selection for phonograph. can i not play a turn-table through this thing?

Hello sir hi, good day. Phonograph are becomming obselete these days, and most electronics manufacturers now omit the phono input.

You can use your phonograph but you may need to buy a separate phono preamp or audio mixer to be fed on any line in input such as auxiliary or CD in.

The main bus on my behringer 2222 mixer has gone. nothing patched to the main bus comes up on the main vu meter, and only a feint distorted noise comes out of the headhones when the main bus is turned up...

please make all your fader down-all your rotary control at middle(12 oclock position)------all your pressed pushbuttons in up position--disconnect all inputs cables----use good new cables for outputs---bring a good mic and connect it to any channel and raise its fader up and main mix faders up and check if the problem solved check your cables and your pressed button if not better to contact a good service center.

SONY RCD-W100

Can you please update this with your connections. I assume that you are connecting the turntables to the mixer? Verify that the mixer is set to send out true stereo. What mixer are you using?
Note that most mixers "pan" all of the channels to the center sending out mono to the left and right. In most live shows, it makes no sense to send out true stereo. The left and right are for the speaker chains. In order to get true stereo out of the mixer, you wil need to pan the input channel for the left side all the way to the left and the input for the right channel to the right.
