Psp mem stick problem

I had a problem regarding my mem stick. there are games that i cant play in my console like burnout, need for speed, and others. but i can also play with some games using that same mem stick. everytime i try to play burnout and start it, it would load but it will not continue. a prompt will appear saying that "the game could not be started" and a certain number combination appears under that saying "problem ########". what seems to be the problem? hope someone knows what to do. thanks! there is still 600 mb free space..

Me too I had the same problem.. It is not your psp console that doesn`t work it is probably your game. If your game is on a memory stick it was probably missed copied to your memory stick. If not just bring bck your memory stick to the store where you purchased it and ask for an exchange for another one. Before doing this format your memory stick because copying games on memory sticks is completely ILLEGAL!!!!

In saved data utility, appears there is no memory stick inserted but it has. i cannot play my games because of the problem.

Hi.
Looks like a broken memory stick!

  • Try another memory stick, if it works or open your memory stick in any computer just to check if it is still working.
  • Open the mem stick in your PSP to check also if it is being read, if not, clean the gold contact points, and try it again in your PSP.
  • If the mem stick can be read by your PSP, that means the program is already corrupted and you have to format it.
  • If it still not working the problem is the mem stick is now broken

Hope that helps you out!

Psp not reading mem card- says no games.

The firmware you are talking about is a chiped psp, iso and cso games mean that they have been copied and put on the pc so u can play them for free, but there is one problem u need to 'chip' your psp the way u can do this is get 'pandoras battery' and 'magic memory stick' and chip it, do it manualy from help sites on the internet or get a friend thats psp is 'chiped and ask him to chip yours with his battary and memory stick

Psp not saving or loading

Hi Spazza2,

Did yout try using the same UMD game your brother was using and see if the game format has anything to do with it?  Since you upgraded, the UMD game may be old, and might not work with Version 3.71. It sounds like your PSP is working just  fine other than that.

Save downloaded games

well, you'll require a modified firmware inorder to play games from your mem stick......now installing a custom firmware or downgrading is a risky process , so do it at your own risk! once that's done, you'd require a "ripkit" to compress the image incase if it doesn't fit in to the 1 gig stick.....get ripkits for all games from http://forums.maxconsole.net/
