Question about Hitachi Televison & Video
I have a Hitachi 42HDM12A Plasma Monitor. I unplugged it, along with the cable box (hooked up with HMDI cable), moved it, plugged it back in and now I get this message, "HMDI Searching". Then the next message is, "No Input Signal, monitor going to sleep".
This is what I have done to this point with no resolution,
1. Checked cable outlet, it is working.
2. Tried setting it up without HMDI cable.
3. Exchanged cable box.
4. Talked to tech support at both the cable company and
Hitachi. They had no answers.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: HDMI connection problem
On your TV set remote are you selecting the proper input; for example when you have different devices connected to the back of your tv set, dvd player, vcr, cable box etc; you have to tell the tv which device you want to use by selecting the right one on your tv remove input selection. Hope this was any help.

I have direct TV and I have the same problem also. It happens about 1 ot of 8 times. All I do is turn off the satellite receiver for a few seconds and turn it back on while the TV is left on. It works everytime. Don't drive yourself crazy with repairs and the like. It is just one of those things.

SOURCE: HDTV CABLE NOT HOOKED UP/WORKING
COMP 1 and 2 are for 480i/p sources. Hook it to the 1080i capable on the back. Also make sure the HD DVR is outputting 1080i not 720p. The Mits can not disply 720p and will show a scrambled screen if you try to.

SOURCE: We hooked up my laptop
charles189 there was one more item that I did not ask you about. If you had not already tried it make sure that you turn off your laptop and disconnect the RGB cable you had used to connect it with. Some monitors will blank out if there is a connector in place without a signal coming from it.
