Try to describe the weird noise a wee bit better. Does the weird noise sound more like a series beeps?
While standing in front of the PC case. Remove the left side case panel. Look closely in to the case while it attempts to start up. Do you see any fans & are they spinning? Most Pc's give off warning beeps when there is a problem. Beeps like, (1 short & three long) is a code that can tell what part may be failling.
It would help if you listed your operating system & the model number of your Emachine.

What was the last thing you were doing or (software installed) before the PC started making this weird noise.
Anything else that you may have heard or remember will also help.
Please post back as I do a bit of searching.
Thank you.

    Hello again damarise12,

Using your description it may be the hard drive's spindle. That does not mean you can not get your data off of the drive.

Each time you turn on the PC your wearing down the hard drive. Soon you may not be able to remove your data. Suggest you pull the drive from the system. If it is an IDE drive, (it's connected with a 40 or 80 pin data cable). Slave your hard drive into another computer. Set your drives jumper to function as a slave drive.

Once in another system the odds are you'll be able to pull some & maybe all your data off. (hopefully).

If you can not get access to another PC to do this, than buy a new drive for your eMachine. damarise12 you did not mention the model no# so I am unable to suggest another drive & do not know if the system takes a serial ATA SATA or an IDE drive.

There is no guarantee that your data will be retrievable.

It's a shot worth taking though.

I turned my PC off and it never came back on, screen is black, any ideas?

Check all connections. Unplug them and plug them back in to make sure they are making connection. Some screens will have two cords plus plug it into electric outlet.

If your computer is running look for a switch on the monitor to turn it on.

Lenovo c355 monitor wont come on at start up

I recommend turning the computer off then double-checking all connections to the monitor. Additionally, if you have another monitor, you could connect it, to see if it works.

The computer has a pink screen and wont do anything

Pink screen is usually either
Broken video cable to the monitor
Broken video card
Broken monitor

Try the machine with a different monitor cable and a different monitor. What happens?

In terms of troubleshooting can you provide more detail
What specifcally happens when you boot the machine up. Does it have a black screen that has typing on it which then changes to pink later? Do you see any writing at all while it is booting?
Does the hard drive make the usual noises during the startup?

Dell desktop computer wont turn on

Hello, make sure there is a green light on the front of the monitor, if not then no connection from pc to monitor, Make sure monitor is plugged in and powered up, and cable is connected into the pc. If all this is connected, then you either have bad video card, or motherboard for video or bad monitor.

First of all, most monitors now a days are plug and play. Make sure the monitor is secure on both sides. There is also another connecter like the one attached to the CPU on the monitor, so make sure they're both securly attached. Also make sure you have the connector plugged in the correct monitor port. some computers have 2.

Will not Boot up

Make sure the fan area is clean, no dust. If it's still making noise when you boot up, get a new fan installed on the tower.
