It is possible that the thermal head has overheated, with this model is pertty much it for it as it is cheaper to replace the whole machine vs having repair done on it.

there's a paper jam inside the mechanism of thermal label printer, if you can do open it, clean it also, just be careful to put it again.

The labeller says "Error1" when I press print. I have changed batteries. Not sure what the problem is?

Error 1 indicates a tape jam or low battery. To resolve, try removing the cassette and clearing the tape or replacing the battery.

Error 1

I had this, a small piece of label had got stuck behind the wheel, couldn't see it at first but with a bright light and a fine tweezers got it out. Check the drive wheel is turning if not you've probably got it jammed somehow. Also change the batteries, leave out a while and then replace. Also make sure the tiny lever on the top right is down (wont drive the tape unless down or the lid fixed back on)

Won't print tape jam Have taken the tape out and put back in also

Clean everything inside the tape path with alcohol. Adhesive builds up and the print head gets a film on it after a lot uf use.

I have to assume you are pressing the print button. That being the case, either your batteries are weak or the tape is empty or jammed.

I was having the exact same problem & had lost my user's manual (you can go on the Dymo.com website to download a replacement). The !!!!!!!!!! display means that there probably is a tape jam. Here's what the manual says:
*!!!!!!in the display indicates that the tape can not be transported *Press any key to return to normal display *Check if there is a tape jam. In that case, life out the cassette and carefully release jammed tape. Cut off excess tape and refit/replace the cassette *If there is no tape jam replace the batteries
