No sound in my pc (travel mate 4150) how do i solve it?

Windows 7 should install on the Travelmate without any problems. However, you are correct to assume that some of the drivers will either not be available or out of date. You can find the ACER drivers on the Acer support page.

It is most likely the RAM, it's either not compatible or it's not inserted correct.

i think you should change it .well you can try other things but in my view this would be your last solution

First things first What type of Disc Drive are you using ?
CD Rom
CD/DVD Drive

Requirements are that you use a CD/DVD Rom Drive.

Next make sure the disc itself is not smudged with finger prints ect. Also check for scratches on the disc. Making sure it is clean ensures that the laser is correctly reading the disc.


Double check and see if other disc's DVD's and CD's will play in the same drive to ensure the drive itself is not bad.

Post back if you are still having problems after verifying that these things are not causing the issue.

1st chose harddisk and hit enter
2nd chose the boot order put the 1st device harddisk, if that will not solve your problem start the laptop in SAFE MODE and restore at a previos stage wen was working ok .
to start in SAFE MODE press F8 at the boot time.and chose SAFE MODE with windows.

you can clean your dvd drive
i would also check my computer right click drive then properties
check that settings are correct for
autoplay
hardware
and recording
if you still have the problem then device manager and update driver

if you are playing a cd probably your cd-rom drive is dying or it need some cleaning...

to clean you cd-rom dry just buy some compressed air with adapting thin straw in a hardware store.. just blow the dust out of your drive...
