How do you update xbox360

All Xbox 360 system updates should update automatically when you power on your system or notify you of game/app updates upon selection of said game/app. First make sure your Xbox is connected to the internet and that it is working properly by running the network setup found in the guide menu. After running the setup and everything checks out restart your Xbox and see if an update message appears. If not there are 2 possibilities, 1 your Xbox is already up to date and no action is required and 2 you may have an update error that the following link should be able to help you perform a manual update. In the case of the 2nd possibility you should recieve an error message stating that an available update was unable to be applied/downloaded. http://xbox-games.yoexpert.com/xbox-games-general/how-to-fix-an-xbox-360-update-error-256.html.

I had to format psp and now need to update it so it works for my son, please help!

Hello Yasmin,

You need a wi-fi connection in order to update your PSP.

Turn ON your PSP, go to settings (all the way to the left)

Then press UP all the way to Network Update and then press X.

Connect to a wireless connection and then the PSP should automatically check for updates.

If the PSP found an update, it will ask you if you want to update your PSP.

Press X.

I hope this helped you.
You can rate my answer if you appreciate it.
Thanks!

Trying to update ps3 and it says an error occured while downloading, what can we do

Try to Download again!

Doesn't Work??

Reset Your Settings! and then Try again?

Still No Luck? Do You have internet connection problems? Does the PS3 pass network setup with no issue?

I found a lot of help by reading the guide found on <a href="http://fixaps3.info">Fix a Ps3</a>.

Here is the update procedure if you wish to do it via a USB stick - http://www.us.playstation.com/Support/SystemUpdates/PS3/pc_update.html#update_PC
I have found this is the easiest way to make sure an update gets applied.

PS3 stuck in demonstration mode 2.80

Visit the Playstation3 website and download the lastest version onto a flash drive. Making sure you dont have any other software/files on the flash drive.

Create a folder on the flash drive in which to save the update data.
Using a PC, create a folder named “PS3” on the flash drive or USB device. Within the PS3 folder, create a folder named “UPDATE”.
Install the playstation update into that folder. "PS3UPDAT.PUP"
Your console SHOULD now reconise the update.
If nothing changes restore the playstation fully to its default status.

Purple screen - that reads update failed

I finally found out how to fix this! go to this website :http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4801064/XBOX_360_Update_Files and download the torrent. Follow the directions from the second page of this forum: http://360mods.net/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=9796 . all you have to do is copy the $systemupdate folder that you need onto a usb drive and plug it into the 360 then turn on your 360. you can find out what number update you need by the number at the botom of the screen or if your like me and dont have those numbers youll have to go back and forth untill it boots up to the right update. make sure your flash drive is cleared out except the $systemupdate folder. go one at a time until it boots up with that update file.
