Ensure that keyboard lights are illuminated.

Restart the computer with keyboard connected and try booting into setup to see if the keyboard is recognized by bios, if you can get into the bios, then this is an operating system related issue.

If the keyboard still does not respond even in bios, you may have a damaged PS/2 connector. If this is the case, it can be soldered by a technician or the keyboard can be substituted with a USB keyboard.

My keyboard wont respond.

Hi there,

There are a couple of things you can do when your keyboard won't respond. First, go to Start > Control Panel > Device Manager and make sure your keyboard is listed in here. Uninstall it, then reboot the computer. If that doesn't work, goto the manufacturer's website using a USB Keyboard or an on-screen keyboard and reinstall the latest drivers.

That should get your keyboard working again.

PC does not respond to mouse or keyboard

Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it to Reset/Connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly.
If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps you. Bud

Keyboard not working

Minimal information to go on. Since you didn't specify whether this is a laptop or desktop, I'll respond with the assumption that it's a desktop.

Power off computer.

Install new (known working) keyboard.

If that doesn't correct the problem, your issue is probably with the PS/2 or USB port your keyboard is plugged into.

If you are using a USB keyboard, first try moving it to a different USB port, then booting. If that doesn't help, try a PS/2 keyboard.

If you cannot get a known good (working/new) PS/2 keyboard to work in replacing a PS/2 keyboard, try a USB keyboard.
