Hi, the Council shut the water off to our house then when the water was turned back on I put the Whirlpool dishwasher on and now every time I try to use the dishwasher it cuts the power to the house. Will i need to get a technician out to look at this problem?

Hello - Probably, but someone with basic electrical skills can check the wires in the power connection box under the unit. If these wires look good, the problem is best left to a pro. Some part of the circuit is grounding, causing breaker to trip. Finding out where is an on-site job. Let me know if this info helps- have more if needed. -Thanks- Ed

Whirlpool dishwasher arms most of the time do not spin

hi bego.
as brian williams has told you thats what you should try.but if you want more info then read this.but i think you will find brian is right in what he is saying to you.
Dirty Filter/Pump. The power to spin the arms is usually related to the water pump for the dishwasher, but if the filter and pump are clogged, they won't put out enough pressure to operate the machine properly.

Dishlex Global 200 won't fill with water

Shut off the water to the dishwasher. Take the line off where it connect to the dishwasher. Get out a bucket (dishpan, etc.) and put the open line into the bucket, turn on the water. Does it have a good stream? If not the problem is in the supply coming from your house. If the stream is good, house water is fine. Connect the supply back up, find the electrical solenoid that the water feed goes to and disconnect the line on the other side of it. Try turning the dishwasher on with bucket catching water, when the solenoid clicks on is there a good stream of water? If not either solenoid is bad, or maybe there is a filter (screen) before the solenoid that needs cleaned. If there is a good stream after the solenoid, then the controls must be bad telling it to shut off too early.

Water in the dishwasher after the the cycle is complete

Two things to consider....clean water or dirty water?
Clean water usually indicates the fill valve is not shutting off all the way and the fill valve is "weeping" water in all the time = new fill valve time!!
Dirty water usually is not a dishwasher problem but more of a plumbing issue. Often the sink drain that carries the sinks water outside is not fast enough and some of this sink water is backing up into the drain hose and filling up the dishwasher through the drain hose. The drain from the sink to outside needs attention as this type of a problem indicates a slow house drain for that sink.
The dishwasher drain line should be clamped to the top underneath part of the counter before entering the sink drain plumbing, this may help the water from coming back inside the dishwasher.

No water supply

There are a few checks. Try the #1 first and then proceed to the next one til you get water. Here are a few checks:
  1. Turn off the supply and disconnect the supply line to the dishwasher, turn the water on to flush the line and to check for flow
  2. If you have water to to the supply line, your problem is the water solenoid. Replace the water solenoid.
  3. Turn off the supply, and disconnect the supply line at the shut off, turn the water on to check for flow.
  4. Shut the water off to the house, disassemblehe shut off, clean debris out of shut off. It may need to be flushed. I recommend using a hose to direct the flow into a 5 gallon bucket while someone cycles the water supply.
  5. Replacement of shut off is next.

Please rate this solution.
