Some days ago, i just got a Windows password recovery tool which can bypass Windows password easily, and it can be burnt onto a CD as recovery disk. If you need, then get it.

Sounds like it may be a BIOS password, so you need to reset the bios. basically you need to pull the cmos battery for about 3 seconds and you should be good to go.

Are you familiar in opening-up your laptop?

If Yes, you need to locate the CMOS battery inside.

CMOS battery looks like:
a small silver dime sized and shaped battery that resides on the motherboard.

Hello.
The lock code is the one you use to login to Windows or the HDD one?

This is a pretty big problem because the HDD password cannot be removed/changed as easy as a BIOS password.

Even so, there are a few solutions I can recommend you. For starters, please tell me your laptop model.

After boot, appears ENTER PRIMARY MASTER HDD USER Password i need the password @ solution to boot up my lappy... thanks

How Do I Change the Primary Master HDD User Password?

Prior to loading an operating system, your computer will first execute the BIOS program. The BIOS has an extra password feature, called the hard disk drive (HDD) user password, that can't be bypassed and provides a layer of defense to keep your data secure. To change an existing HDD user password you will have to load the BIOS menu, which is only accessible during the computer's operating system reboot procedure.

Instructions

1. Close any windows that are currently open on your computer. Eject any discs inserted into the optical drive and disconnect any peripheral USB devices.

2. Open the "Start" menu and select "Shut Down." Turn on your computer once the operating system finishes shutting down.

3. Press the key your computer uses to load the BIOS menu. For example, with Dell computers tap "F2" when the "Press F2 for Setup" option appears. Press the "Access IBM" key on IBM laptops or "F10" on HP desktops.

4. Navigate to the BIOS tab that contains the HDD password option, which will usually be the "Security" tab. Some computer manufactures instead include the password option in the "Advanced" tab.

5. Scroll down to the option labeled either "User Password" or "BIOS lock" and hit "Enter." Type the current master HDD user password when the prompt appears and press "Enter."

6. Input a new HDD user password and hit "Enter" again. Navigate to the BIOS tab labeled "Exit" or something similar.

7. Move over to the "Save and Exit" entry and press "Enter." Select "Yes" and tap "Enter."

• Press "Play" to change the "Administrator Password".
• The factory default of "Administrator Password" is "1234".
If you forgot your administrator password, do the following to

Hdd primary pasword is lost cannot open hard disk drive showing error codes 06231 and so on cannot boot the computer cause the disk drive is asking for primary hdd pasword and is no taking the password...

Most modern laptop HDD or BIOS passwords are not resettable and don't come with default passwords to unlock them if the password is forgotten.

You will need to contact Acer and find out what kind of warranty coverage your machine has. It's likely that you will have to pay for the services they provide or pay for a new hard drive yourself and re-install Windows.

Cant boot

If you are sure no one has tampered with it and entered a HDD password and it is not prompting for a password then it is most likely a HDD failure. It is possible the BIOS will still recognize the HDD. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the HDD if you can access it there should be screws on the bottom marked with a cylinder symbol.

Cant boot

In your bios you should be able to change your settings for the hdd. Make sure everything in bios matches your hdd & then save changes & reboot. Hopefully that will allow you to enter windows.
