Question about Asko Dishwashers

Open Question

D1756 Dishwasher has an error message of "F2" and won't allow you to clear the wash menu. I have drained all of the water out from the bottom of the dishwasher and checked the discharge hose for blockages, but problem remains. Is there a re-set mechanism that I need to re-start the washer? Thank you Regards Howard

Our ASKO D1796 is also giving an F2 error message. I removed the filters, and the adapting piece to reach the pump blade. There was no obstruction, and I reassembled the machine and switched it on. The drain pump turned on and drained away the water, but now it won't switch off! The drain pump is working constantly, and all I can do is switch off the dishwasher.

Asko dishwasher D1756 shows F2

Typically on all appliances the memory will reset to factory settings when power is killed to the unit. Since this is a dishwasher, you will most likely have to turn the breaker to the dishwasher off and back on. I would leave it off for about 1 minute before turning it back on.

F2 error code won't drain

The problem is with rotor assembly of the drawer that is causing the F2 error. Turn power off. Empty water using a small container and towel to dry base.

Remove the washer arm and drain filter sump cover. Twist the rotor at the base out from the socket gently but firmly.
Clean the cavity and check the rotor for damage. Put everthing back in and turn power on.If F2 does not go away then replace rotor.

Hi
F2 error in your Asko dishwasher indicates that the water is not draining or is unable to drain and dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller & clean the chopper assembly. Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

The F2 error means the tray underneath the unit has filled with water. You will need to pull out the dishwasher (remove 2 screws at top left/right when door open that prevent tilting). Unplug and pull out dishwasher. Remove 4 screws on bottom rear panel and you will see tray underneath. Sponge out water and F2 error will reset.
However, you should not get water in this tray. There may be a faulty valve, pump or leaking pipe. Run diagnostic mode (described in user manual) to see if leak occurs during filling, draining or circulating.

Dishwasher will not drain. F2 shows up on panel

Hi

Error F2 in asko dishwashers indicate high water level. This may happen due to plugged drain pump or due to faulty water inlet valve. To resolve the issue remove the back plate and check the drain pump. Disconnect the hoses from the drain pump and clear the lint from the hose and the pump area. Lot of water would be ther when you'll remove the hose from the pump, be ready to collect it. Let it dry and now the dishwasher will work perfectly now.

Hope it helps...

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F2 in your Asko Dishwasher means high water level. This error occurs due to plugged/bad water pump and/or a bad inlet valve. If the water pump and/or water inlet valve are bad it should be replaced to resolve this issue. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
