My ewave made by magic chef model mcwc 30 mcg wine cooler is 5 years old, it just stopped working. Is it worth fixing or spend over $300 to buy a new one?

by the age of it, I would replce it. Not worth it to take a chance with wine and if it holds expensive wine then I rest my case.

The light may be old, and need repairing, I would try contacting somebody local rather than buying a new one.

If it is 8 months old it probably is under warranty call magic chef they will usually send someone out. Have your purchase stub ready or they can go by the manufacture date but that might be over a year.

Warranty: all models carry 1 year warranty on parts and labor and 5 years on the compressor.

if its clicking every few minutes its the ptc relay.located to the left of the compressor behind shield with 1 screw.go to repairclinic.com...part# 1206838

could be a broken fan, compressor gone, thermostat. neither one you can fix. you need a refrigeration mechanic or a new fridge

its the ptc relay go to repairclinic.com...type in model #...its a cheap and easy fix.if you see what the part looks like on line youll find it on cooler.should be left of compressor behind black plastic cover with 1 screw

If the dishwasher is 10 years or older its not worth investing money tofix it! The new ones are mush more efficient and clean better!

Either way this is a service problem to remedy!
