I was using my camera when the indicator came on that the batteries were low. The camera shut off. The next day I replaced the old batteries with new batteries and still, the camera has not turned on since its earlier use. Help!!! I've tried your suggestion of removing the batteries and the memory card - - it did not fix the problem. I'd appreciate any help that could be given.

Check if the battery is still alive. If it is try using different batteries than the one you are using. Or you can try taking the battery out of camera also the memory card as well and wait for about 30 sec then click the photo button twice without battery or memory then replace battery or recharged full battery. If it turns on then stick the memory card back in see what happens.

Please help me to use Vivitar 650 - 1300 MM lens

The lens does not have the electronics to communicate with the camera. You must set the camera to the Manual exposure mode (turn the mode dial to M). You set the shutter speed by turning the command dial on the back of the camera. You set the aperture by turning the aperture ring on the lens. You get no exposure help from the camera's exposure meter.

Upon turning on my camera the message 'lens error restart camera' appears against black screen. I've turned off the camera and have tried turning on again. Still same message. Prior to the above...

Can't help with the camera- sounds like it has a fault.

The photos, however, should be recoverable by putting the memory card into a card reader on a computer.

Lens Error, Restart

Hi

What you are seeing is a generic stuck lens error message, turning off the camera and turning it on again will not fix the lens unfortunately.

Your lens needs to be cleaned or repaired, and if it cant be repaired it needs to be replaced. There are online places that will do it for a decent price and there are others that overcharge by way too much.

Fixya rules prevent me from giving you a link to anything off Fixya that would help you fix your camera.

Good luck from....

This is a service center job and I think the lens assy motor is jammed. Take to a near by camera repair center
