Are you using a copied disc? Poor quality copied disc only contain maps on the first layer, most of the options are encoded on the second layer. Let me know.

European Compatability

Did you get a solution for the problem ? I have been reading lots of posts also about using hex editors etc to change code in the program ... I can get some of the EU maps working in the US unit, if thats any help .....

Going down the firmware route sounds the best solution i think ... Did you source any ?

Navigation won't navigate!

Are you using a copied disc or an original article? With some burned disc you will loose alot of the functions because the map is on the first layer and the functions are encoded in the second layer. Let me know.

In order to access the DNX7100's bulit in SD card slot, you have to press the CD/DVD eject button for about 5 secs. It will fold down to reveal the SD slot. This slot is only used for Software and Map updates via a SD Card.

AVIC-N1 GPS not working

Have you tried calibrating the sensors? And is the speed sense working, i thing the unit relies primarily on the speed sense then on GPS. You can easily tell if the speed sense is woking on the calibration screen, as you drive the unit omits a bleep.
