Pscan showed up on my dvd player and I shut the switch off on the back...all good! thanks for the inpu!
On the back of the DVD player there is a black switch. It says Progressive Scan. You turn it onto off. This should help. (:

Take a look at the back of the dvd player there should be a switch that says Progressive scan on/off. Switch it to off. Problem solved !!!

When I play the DVD player, Screen appears as two screens and in middle I have PSCAN displayed throughout the time.

I have the exact same problem. Split screen with P SCAN message in middle of it. Not sure how to fix it either. Could I have possibly hooked up something wrong. But the VCR side is working find (It is a dvd/vcr player).

I have the same exact problem. It's driving us crazy. I noticed on another post that the person was advised to look on the back of the dvd player and switch off the progressive scan switch. However, I don't have that switch on the back of my dvd player. I have the RCA DRC200N. Thanks in advance for your help.
