Question about Audio & Video Receivers

1 Answer

I have an Archos 504. A couple of months ago I used it to record a show off TV as I normally do. It started to act weird where the show that I recorded didn't show up and then I got an error message. Well, now my Archos won't turn on at all. I even bought a new battery and that didn't work. What is the possible problem and solution? Thanks.

When I first turn on the receiver in the morning to watch TV, (ATT Uverse), I get an error, "No Signal." After about 10 minutes, if I switch the input on my TV, then go back to the correct input, it...

if you are using hdmi cable, you should switch to using component cables for the video - (red/blue/green) - you will need to use the white/red for your sound (or the optical cable) - uverse is aware of the issue and if you call they probably wont be able to send someone out but they can give you a credit for buying the cables

For some reason my archos 605 wi-fi will not record from tv. Has been okay since I bought it some 4 months ago. Comes up with corrupted file or similar thanks Jim

Thank you very much for your e-mail.
I have been in the habit of just suspending my Archos between use. Problem was solved by simply turning the Archos off completely. On switch on, recording worked perfectly.
Thankyou for your help

1 front speaker and 1 surround speaker won't work on cable selection

theres probably a problem with the right channel cable or plug that connects the tv to the reciever, or the tv is set to mono audio.

Archos fm recorder

buy a new headphone socket. if you want to change it. cut the wire then just copy the color coding of the wire to the new headphone socket. open the old socket.
be careful though.

I can't tell what color should be connected to the terminals. cuz' it depends to the manufacturer how they instal it.

sometimes they use black or none colored for the negative, common, or ground.
the left speaker colors yellow, red, pink, or sometimes gray.
the right may be as the left speaker colors.

or sometimes the manufacturer use multiple stranded wires.
so it's up to you.
