I just paid for a premium help $19 and go disconnected without chatting with anybody. can somebody help me now

How to earn/get money on/from fixya


In order to earn money on FixYa, you must become a Premium Expert. For information on how to apply, please view this Tip.

Once you have been approved as a Premium Expert, you will notice some changes on your My Expertisepage. First, there will be a banner regarding your preferred method of payment. Click on this banner and select how you would like to be paid. There will also be a module on the upper right of your My Expertise page called My Live Chat Status, as well as a link to your Account Statements.

Answering Chats
If you would like to do a Live Chat, where you assist the customer using an IM system, check the "Available" option on your My Live Chat Status module. Then, as long as you are on FixYa, you will receive a pop up to alert you to any available Chats in your Areas of Expertise. Please make sure you have enough time to do a Chat (up to an hour or more) and that you only assist one customer at a time.

Answering Premium Questions
Premiums can be found at the top of your My Expertise page with buttons marked $3, $4, and $6. Please view this Tip to see more info about Premiums.

Keeping track of your earnings

If your Premium Solution or Live Chat Assistance is "Accepted" by the customer, you will be credited the amount on the button (for Premiums) or between $6-$10 (for Live Chats). You can keep track of all the Premiums/Live Chats you have done by clicking on "Account Statements" (also referred to as your Ledger). One note about that- if something older than 7 days is still marked as Pending, then it has Auto Closed and another Expert received credit.

Getting paid
At the end of each month, FixYa audits Experts' accounts. If you have earned $50 or more, your account begins processing. For more info about FixYa's payment policies and schedule, please view the Experts' FAQ section on payments.

How can my premium video chat camera work properly without a cd


It does not need an installation cd, as you can just plug it in and instantly start chatting. No programs need to be installed on your computer.

I was accidently disconnected with my tech supporter. I have already paid my $20 fee


Please invite another chat assistance without accepting the last disconnected session. You can invite or seek as many assistances as you wish until your problem is fixed and until most helpful session is accepted. Good luck.

I was on Fixya Premium and began to chat with a person, then got disconnected and I dont know how to reconnect.

have a look into your email, most of the time when a disconnect happens you receive a email that includes instructions on how to get another chat session.

If you don't have instructions and you can't seem to get a new chat session automatically by just going to www.fixya.com

I suggest you email premium.support@fixya.com for help with the issue.

Hey,
You will only get paid from Premium problems and Premium chats, the free problems which we have 50 000.. or more on the website, we get no pay from these. Only from Premium problems, If you get Fixya vote / accepted or 7 day payment if assumed to be solved. these will show up in your account statements. same with chat sessions. Thanks for trying is 6usd, helpful is 8usd and fixya is 10usd, no rating is assumed to be solved 6usd on chat, it will show in account statements if rejected or not. if not rejected it will be shown as accepted with no rating and 6usd for you.

Yes, I am in Texas, just moved there from Michigan. Got away from the cold just in time. It's beautiful in Colorado, but just too cold for me.

I had no idea you had paid for a premium service. You contacted me thru the free forum. If you would like for me to get the payment for the premium service, you could contact fixya thru this email ( lauren@fixya.com ) and tell her (Lauren) how you did not get the information you needed from the premium question you asked and would like that credit to go to me. She will know what to do about it. I really don't know how you would go about it. As it stands right now, you will end up paying whoever answered you first unless you gave somebody a FixYa! rating and accepted the solution. Unless you request a refund. Which is what you may need to do. I hate to see some other person get paid for my knowledge. This has happened to me on many occasions. I get contacted thru the free forum to solve a problem they have paid somebody else for. I don't spend a whole lot of time on the site, since almost everything I do on this site is free help.

In the premium questions you should not give anyone anything but a "Thanks for Trying" unless you are satisfied you have received the help you have paid for. I never seen a link to the premium question you paid for, so I never got a chance to answer you there. I am sure that some of the answers you were getting there were very amusing, to say the least. As I told you in my last post, I really am an expert in these receivers and I don't believe there is another expert here with the experience actually repairing them as I have. There is a decent bunch of folks working here, but many are not really the experts they claim to be. It can be a pretty frustrating activity using the premium service because there are so many so called "Experts" that are only in this for the money and try to answer questions they know nothing about. I hope it was not as bad for you as I have seen in many other cases.

elric_martin: Just got interupted as server went down have not received answer". We can continue here or in your original post. The Live Session once closed could not be resumed.
