Memory stick when using a memory stick, how do you view and use your pictures stored there? i don't see any way to do anything with them (even view them) once they are stored to the memory stick. should i store them to the camera and then move them? again, i just got this model phone (sony ericsson w580i) and have never used a memory stick before. i am a real beginner here, so any help with basics would be most appreciated. thanks in advance

Can't get my pictures off of my phone, even with a

That's impossible my friend maybe you don't have the pc suite of your phone that's why you can't be able to transfer it on your PC. Try to install the pc suite if you don't have one installed in your PC, then if your pictures are stored in your phone memory. try to move your images to the memory card, after doing that if you don't have a card reader, Go to my computer in your PC then plug the USB cable connected to your phone to your PC..Then on my computer you will see there's a new drive will appear after plugging it and in that new drive open it and search and copy your images to your PC.. Hope it will help you

Tip

Tips for camera

Using the camera:
Your phone has a flash to help you to take pictures in different lighting environments. The flash is on by default, but you can turn it off or use the automatic setting. To set the desired mode when using the camera, select Options > Flash and Flash off, Flash on or Automatic.
Fast viewing with memory card To view your images and video clips quicker, use your memory card as the main memory for storing them.
In the camera application, select Options > Settings > Image / video storage > Memory card.
Capture and send You can send the picture immediately after you have taken it when you are previewing it. To display a picture immediately after you take it, select Options > Settings > Image preview time and the preview time. During the preview time, select Back to take another picture, or Send to send the picture as a multimedia message.
Print your images Your phone supports Nokia XpressPrint to print images that are in .jpg format. To print your pictures, connect your phone to a compatible printer using a data cable or send the image by Bluetooth to a printer supporting Bluetooth technology. Select the image you want to print from the Gallery, and when viewing the picture, select Options > Print.

When i get a picture text, i'm unable to view/open

If you just got a new phone it might be the memory. You may not have enough memory to hold or even open those pictures try lookin on your phone for a memory stick place and buy one that might be your problem. If not then try reseting your phone by charging it completly and then takin out the sim card and battery for about an hour then try it again i hope this helps you!!

Msgs - Too many msgs!!!!

SMS and picture messages are not stored on the memory stick.
Sony Ericsson phones have a set allotted memory space for messages and other phone functions.
You may need to delete picture messages, check if you have any saved messages (these are saved to your SIM).
Generally, the only other option would be to reset your phone.
To do a master reset, go to your Menu, then select Settings. Under the General tab, scroll down to Master reset and press select. Select Reset All and press yes.
If prompted, the default passcode is 0000.
Please note that a Master Reset will return the phone to its factory default settings (including locking a phone to the carrier if it has been unlocked). All user data and settings will be deleted. If you have any files or information you would like to save, you should either back it up to a memory stick or your computer. Your contacts can be backed up to the memory stick or your SIM card.

Picture problems

Are you storing the pictures on your memory stick?
Are you using same memory stick on various devides?

if yes, try formatting the card using your computer and a card reader of using your phone. Remember you will lose all data including the pictures you are not able to see..

after this use it only for one device, phone or camera...
