Question about Magellan Maestro 4040 GPS Receiver
Magellan 4040 firmware update not able to load asks for an SD card which I have and tells me to unplug my usb which I did and all it does is return each time to the same thing.
I had the similar problem. My SD Card was 2GB and this unit does not recognize it so I had to get 1GB and it worked fine.

I had the same problem, you need to format the SD card. BUT before you even do that, go under your settings and you'll see your current firmware version. I went through 30 minutes of messing around to find out I had 2.36 already!
