I have a gateway laptop an i forgot the password and i cant get into my programs
BOUGHT THIS TOSHIBA TECRA M5 FROM PAWNSHOP ONE MONTH AGO MODEL PTM51C-LV701E SERIAL NO 56022775H IT HAD PASSWORD FOR IT BUT DIDNT WORK I GOT THE BIOS TO WORK BUT HAS A PASSWORD HDD IT DOESNT WORK WHAT CAN I DO

Laptops have the option to password protect for security purposes. If the laptop should be lost-stolen. this is to ensure your personnal data, cannot be accessed by any tom dick and harry.
Post your laptop model number, and i,ll see if anything can be done.
i do not endorse password removal, as the majority of the time, a user cannot prove that the laptop actually belongs to them.
I,d also feel happier if you could also prove in any way, that you are the legal owner of the laptop in question.

I was looking at an Acer One in a pawn shop that has HDD password protect on. Anyway to reset this?
