In the sound settings on your ps3 select output from the scart lead and hopefully that will sort it for you. let me know if this helps.

I unhooked my PS3 from one tv and now another tv recognizes it but has no picture or sound. bought new wires and still nothing. what is my next step?

Try resetting the video output settings. They may not be appropriate for your new tv.
Press and hold the power button until you hear two beeps while it is off.

Put ps3 on new tv does not pick up lead as we used hdmi on old tv

If possible, hook the PS3 to the old TV, and then select the AV Cable option for both video and sound. Then hook it to the new TV, which should show the display at 480p. From there, you can adjust the settings to whatever you would like.

PS3 Video Connection--Lines on TV

this may be due to the fact that your ps3 will be set up to hd. go into video settings when you switch it on and this should solve the problem. i had similar problems and bought a hdtv until someone pointed this out to me. however once you have experienced ps3 in hd you will not go back!!! hope this helps

Just bought a new hdmi cable to hook up to my t.v. and my ps3, hooked it up properly but I am not getting a picture or any sound. please help me so I don't have to pay unnecessary money to have sony fix...

It should work and its not a serious problem that you have here just be patient and try it one more time. I believe a display will come up asking you if you would like to conserve the new settings and just select yes. See if that works.

PS3 audio

There is possibly an easier way!! If your receiver has RCA audio out ports you can hook that up to your TV. It will not be Dolby Digital surround sound, but it will still be stereo sound!! There should be ports on the back of your TV that say audio in that will support these cables also. I had the same problem when I hooked up my PS3 to my HDTV. I wanted to hear my gameplay in stereo!! I hope this helps you out!!!

Problem

i have my picture going through the hdmi and the sound going through the scart. plug the scart into the back of the ps3. then the white and red wire are into my tecnics sound system and it works perfectly you just need to set it up in the sound options in your ps3. which is very easy. just select scart in the sound options. hope this helps you.
