i have a belling cookcentre evolution 153 thatruns on lpg. I am moving and my new house is natural gas. I want to convert the cooker to natural gas but can not find new jets for it, can any one help me locate some please.

I was told that if I can not find new jets, I could have the old ones drilled to make them larger bore. is this a realistic option.

    Thanks.

    Tony.

This should be fairly easy to do. You will have to get new jets that are sized for propane. These should be readily available. The jets on the stove top are located under each burner in the top of the pipe that delivers the gas. Remove the burner and you should be looking at a small hole in the center of a brass fitting, that's the jet. It unscrews and the new jet screws in. You may also have to adjust the simmer. This adjustment is located on each burner valve. When you pull of the knob, the adjustment will most likely be in a hole on the shaft where the knob came out or as was the case with my stove, it was behind and beside the shaft, just visible with a flashlight. This adjustment is done with the flame on in low medium. You may need to hold the shaft with pliers to keep the valve from opening. Turn the screw a half turn or so until the flame simmers to your liking and is not so thready tat it wants to go out.
For the oven, this will either be an adjustable jet, or you will need to replace it with one set up for propane. Either way its a doable project.

You didn't state whether you used a DCS conversion kit or not. I was able to find conversion instructions for a model similar to yours (not an exact match) but it will give you an idea as to what all is involved.

I bought a dcs fryer at a restaurant auction. I had it installed in my restaurant, and when I got it going flames were shooting out of the back. I had it looked at, but because there is no serial number...

The difference between Natural Gas Set Up and Propane Gas Set Up on Fryers are as follows:
Natural gas burner orifice has larger bore (#52) than Propane Gas burner orifice (#55 or #56).
Gas Valve's spring kit for natural gas has less tension (thinner) than Propane.
You have to order burner orifice ( the quantity depends on the number of burners your fryer has), pilot orifice and Gas Valve Spring Kit for Propane Gas if your fryer is set for Natural Gas or vice versa.

Regards.

My DCS range burners with electric start.

Very likely the spark module. All four are supposed to click when one is turned on, however they are supposed to stop when the burner ignites. Replace the module and test. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

Hi, we have a dcs 366 gas range. the pilot light for the oven went out and we can't seem to locate the pilot to re-light. the manual doesn't really go into detail for the oven...only the stove top. is this...

You don't give the model number of your DCS range, but it probably doesn't have a pilot light.
More likely it uses and electronic igniter. Internet search on "gas oven ignitor". I think this
might help you with your problem.

Igniter will not shut off on my DCS RGS-366 gas range

Replace the multipoint gas re-igniter, it is a blue unit behind the knobs. This unit detects the flame and stops the clicking. Call Fisher and Paykel (owners of DCS) at 1 888 936-7872, they sell parts for DCS. The old inferior unit is blue and has a whte label. The newer unit has a yellow label.

Oven in DCS gas range doew not turn on

Well some of the older ones have a unit that is sorta like a pilot light which keeps you safe by not letting out gas before it ignites so as to not blow up. This macanism is probably bad. I use to replace them on Tappan ovens. They would last a couple of years and then would go out and to replace them then was about $80.00. Easy to do. They are usualy located inside the oven somewhere and look like a glass eye on one end with a small 1/4 inch gas line connecting to the other end.
