I didn't even ask about sub woofer and speaker problems. I asked about clutch arm linkage for a 1974 Ford F350 1 ton truck.

How do i ajust my clutch

To work efficiently, the clutch needs the right amount of play in the linkage between the foot pedal and the clutch operating lever (also known as the release arm or fork).
Anything less than the correct amount o free play (or clearance) will result in clutch slip, because the pressure plate will be unable to exert its full pressure on the friction plate.
Failure to cure this fault will quickly lead to a burned-out friction plate, and possibly a ruined pressure plate.
If, however, there is too much clearance in the clutch linkage, the car tends to creep forwards when in gear with the clutch pedal fully depressed.
This is known as clutch drag, and it can cause difficulties in heavy traffic.

How can I adjust the clutch?

If you can, it is under the truck at the transmission. You'll see a bracket with two nuts that secure the linkage. Loosen the nuts and take up any slack on the throw out bearing arm. Most are hydraulic. If yours is, there is no adjusting. Time to replace the clutch package.

There is no "linkage" under the hood. It is a hydraulic clutch, and the only linkage is form the pedal to the clutch master cylinder, which is bolted directly to the firewall. So all the physical "linkage" is inside the passenger compartment.

Here is a picture of the master cylinder:
You can see the bolts that come thru the firewall..

If you are having issues with the clutch, I recommend replacement like the dealer recommends: the complete sealed system. You can get it at Autozone via special order. It comes completely assembled, including Master and Slave cylinders and reservoir. Here is a picture of that:

Yes, under the truck find the linkage(drivers side). The bar that goes to the throwout bearing bracket will have a threaded arm, with a nut. This is the adjustment. Being a 91, you better have a torch ready to heat the nut and arm up. otherwise it will break. Could break anyway.

Pulling out a ****** from 1946 ford 1 ton have all bolts removed from the trannny but will not come away from the clutch

if it has been sitting the clutch could be stuck to the input shaft have you tried pushing on the clutch pedal the linkage will help push it away

Wont go into any gear after installing a new clutch kit

Either it was not installed properly or... your clutch linkage (cable) is stuck or too tight and not releasing the clutch all of the way.

Disconnect the clutch cable/rod from the clutch arm and see if you can move it or if when you remove it does it goes back further with the spring i.e. not seated with the linkage in place...? (you should feel the spring action of the clutch on the plate)
if it does spring back further the cable/rod linkage needs to be adjusted
Otherwise take it apart and reinstall. Also check the clutch pedal to make sure it did not become misalligned while it was diconnected.

Try CHECKING AND refilling the master cylinder for the clutch on the firewall under the hood, it looks like a small brake master cylinder tank. Here is a picture of the Clutch Hydraulic Master cylinder. The plastic tank can be black as well. If the tank is full go under the truck on the driver side and check the clutch Slave cylinder to make sure the rod coming out of it is attached to the clutch release arm. Replace mechanical clutch linkage with hydraulic assist type

Below u will find a photo gallery link on the conversion of a 1983 Bronco, the parts are the same for a F150 click on each picture for dialog of what u are looking at, the only way to do this is to find the bell housing used on 1986 through about 1991, the reason is these years used a external type slave cylinder, u will need to find all the parts in the pictures from those model years at a salvage yard, pedal linkage, bell housing clutch release ford and all the brackets and bolts and spacers, the install is easy, u will need to drill some holes to mount the master but as far as the rest goes it is a swap out, the job will take about 12 hours to complete, buy the clutch slave and master new. expect to spend about $500 for the parts

allot of guys think this is a waste of time and it is not really that muich of an advantage to use a hydraulic set up, they all think the best conversion for the money is to an automatic trans.

Sounds like your Clutch has failed.

you can also unhook the linkage at the clutch arm on the trans and make sure the linkage is free

those trucks had problems with the fire wall breaking .have some one push the clutch pedle and watch the fire wall from under the hood were the clutch master cylinder bolts too if the fire wall moves u need to buy the repaire kit from ford.
