Sch-u450 got wet and is now stuck in download mode. screen shows, Mode : Emergency Port : USB cannot turn off, does not accept any key entrys

Try & press the reset button. It is near or under the battery. You night need to use the end of a paperclip. If that fails see your provider.

I also removed the battery for 30 seconds, re installed the battery and the phone worked fine, I have samsung phone from Verizon. Harley Dragon

If this just happened today the 12th - let it dry out for 4 days - you can try it anytime before that - but even if the phone comes on and works I would let it dry for 4 days. Get insurance right away too. Some phones once wet - have a tag inside the phone that alerts the company it has been wet. Some company's sell insurance that will cover lost or stolen phones but not damaged by water so be cautious when dealing with this problem.

Take out the battery to unfreeze it, then Menu>Settings>Phone Info>Software Update>Check New. Repeat the Menu etc step till it doesn't find any more new software -- it may have to update an update.

mine phone got stuck in bootlock mode. Don't know how it happened. I took at the battery and put it back in. It works fine now

remove the battery for about five minutes and see if that helps.

This could be a software or a hardware fault. If you recently changed the firmware or made other modifications to the file-system using EFS Explorer (or similar software), it may well be software related.

If you think the problem may be software related, try using Emergency Download mode to reflash your phone.
Possible faults to check with the hardware include:

• The battery is empty, damaged or worn out. Try taking the battery out and connection your phone using the USB cable only.
• The contacts of the battery are damaged or the battery has leaked.
• The screen may be damaged and will not display a picture - check if the lower buttons light up when the End Call (Red) key is pressed.

In the case of a hardware fault or if you are unsure, contact the store from where your purchased your phone on for advice on the best action to take.

How do I access Emergency Download Mode?

1. Make sure your phone is off.
2. Hold down the Green (Call) + C (Delete) + Red (End Call) + Image Stabiliser (Lock) buttons
3. Your phone should turn on and go straight to a screen saying 'Emergency Download' without first showing the usual LG Logo.
4. You can now connect your phone using the USB cable and use Flashing tools to fix your phone.

Use the EFS explorer mode and check the maps.

If there is a map named TOTO and a map LGAPP.

First rename the map LGAPP in to any name you want or change
it like this AAAA.

Secend Rename the map TOTO to LGAPP.
Delete the first map you renamed the LGAPP.

When your finished choose disconnect and wait until the process is done.

You will see the phone starts up in a normal mode if not then
you've to reflash the phone.


I hope this will helps.

Let your phone die, and then charge it up and see if it happens again. If it does, try to have it repaired or exchanged.
