Fault to its main board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

What causes the picture to pixilate, could it be the signal strength which shows 45% ?

YOU rebuilt the engine? Everything in there is precision aligned etc and done in a space age factory---I hate to say it but everyone I HAVE SEEN ATTEMPT IT was involved in a mess.

Good luck and hope you reach a good ending with the set.

My picture on the tv has a very yellow hue to it. what is the problem

Hi , it seems you are experimenting a light engine problem. Here's how your tv works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLLHnQ4y-wo Basically there's 3 LCD chips that create the colors and image by blending together. When these chips start to melt you will get those blue spots, pixilation even vertical lines. You will need to replace the light engine. Have a blessed one!

This is a convergence problem and can be repaired by replacing the two STK-392-120 convergence chips and adjusting the set with the original remote control

I have specific instructions for this repair from start to finish.

I have an RCA Home Theater 52'' projection TV that has always performed like a champ, but now there is only 3/4 of the picture showing. The sound is still awesome.

Hi,it sounds like a DMD issue if your tv is a DLp.This is how it works: http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/dlp1.htm The Dmd is basically where the image is created it will be the actual screen. When it starts to fail picture will be chpped or pixilated like what you are getting.God bless you!
