My kenmore dryer is not warming when turn on? there's no current going to heating element? what's the issue?

i don't know. it could be the heating a home fuse or your
dryer's heating element. open the dryer door. locate the dryer fuse or circuit breaker to see if it needs replacing or resetting. reset the breaker a few times or replace fuses with a good one. shut the dryer door and choose a new settings with high heat for a test. if OK, good. if no heat, it may be your heating element or something else. if not able to repair yourself, consider the age of your dryer and
cost of a replacement. if it runs OK and fails again in days
or weeks, your home wiring should be inspected. call for service right away.

Taking too long to dry

your lint trap and lint vent are most likely clogged. Easiest way to fix it is to move your dryer away and disconnect the lint vent from the dryer and then take a yard blower to the back of your dryer with a towel around the blower in the hole to ensure the max air moves through the machine. (Ensure the door is only slightly cracked or your house will get very dusty) then clean the lint trap. Then do the same to the lint vent line (make sure the opening of your vent line on the exterior of home is clear of any debris or critter screen) reconnect your vent hose and it should work as new

My dryer squeeks when first started like a belt slipping until it warms up then the squeek stops. Other than that it works great.

We recently bought the Kenmore 500 washer and dryer and are satisfied with their performance. As others have noted, the washer is a little noisy (you can hear the clunk between cycles) but no more so than my last machine. Even though it acts as though y

Moved dryer to a new home. Dryer vent comes out of the middle of the dryer. New home vent is next to the outside wall so i have a bend off the dryer vent and then a bent to the out side vent, Can you...

Some Kenmore dryers have a knockout at the back, lower corner that can be "knocked out". If you have one of these it can be vented out through the side. If the knockout is there, a kit is available for the venting. Just go to www.sears.com and under the parts direct tab enter your model number aka 000.00000, and search out the kit.

My Kenmore dryer is only getting Luke warm. It is not get as hot as it normally gets. The attachments are secure and everything else is working fine. could it be sme kind of fuse?

no it's not a fuse, when they pop they won't work again,if it's gas it's most likely the gas coils located on top of the gas valve, remove the two phillips screws, remove the cover and change out the coils.also when was the last time you cleaned out the dryer?all a dryer does is move air,if something gets clogged with lint the dryer can't move the air correctly and problems start.clean out the vent line,if it's a long run from the back of dryer to the outside hood i use a leaf blower to blow out the line, then clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into and vac out the inside of dryer where the motor is.let me know what you find and next time send the model number

I started my dryer one night i figured it would shut off but when i woke up the next morning it was still running and appeared to still be warm. The timer apparently was stuck on 70 minutes. the following...

Kenmore is a Sears brand and there isnt too much info on the net as for tech support. Youre best option is to call sears and see if they can give you any over the phone advice, but if the timer switch is getting stuck, it sounds like it may need replacing.

How do I prep my Kenmore Elite He5t washer for move to new house

Washers n dryers usually require some balancing after a move to the new area, and when you lift the washer on a dolly, you lift it from the rear. Assuming you've already tipped the washer slighlty to one side, checked the bottom for which side has the most metal underneath. This is best done with 2 people. Do the same with the dryer. The braces are used to help balance or to keep from tipping when the machine was packed inside a large box.
