The most likely and more common problem you are describing is affiliated with the flame sensor. The good news is that you can generally correct this problem with a scotchbrite pad and/or some light emory cloth. I'm going to give you a link to a youtube video that shows you how it's done.

Maytag dishwasher runs for 4 seconds and stops. FIELD SERVICE CHECK did not render the promised 2 lights flashing to show what was at fault - feel its the turbidity sensor- HOW CAN I BE SURE>

I am not familiar with the model but I doubt it - few people these days use the highly inefficient soap dispenser, preferring to add detergent directly into the wash drum.
I suggest you read the instruction booklet.

We have a breckwell model P23fsl we just cleaned the exaust pipes the day before yesturday, it will start up, fans are running fine, it flames high orange flames, it acts like theres wind blowing the...

Sounds as if the gasket material on the door needs to be replaced. It's allowing to much air into the firebox, thus causing the flame up you're seeing. Or, the door just may not be closed tightly.

Hope that helps solve your problem.

When heater is on the fan turns off. when we switch the fan on the heat element turns off but fan comes on. one or the other works but not both at the same time.

In some unit heat mode will start the fan after few seconds. Wait for max 3 minutes. If you turn it to fan mode, fan will only work no cool or heat will respond.

Not staying lit

Remove the front panel and tape down the door safety switch so the unit can turn on when door is off. Turn up thermostat to make sure there is a call for heat. The circuit board should indicate a call for heat with either a blinking light or a solid light. Then the exhaust fan should turn on clearing the venting from any fumes. When the fan has ran for a few seconds, the igniter should start glowing orange. After it reaches a predetermined temperature, the gas valve should open with a click. The flame will start at the burner closest to the igniter and travel away from the igniter. There is a small flame rod located in the flame path on the last burner that tells the circuit board it feels the flame. If the flame goes off within a few seconds of starting, you have a dirty flame rod. Clean it with a scotch-brite pad. Once you get the flame to stay on for 90 seconds or so, the room air blower will turn on. If it tries 2 or 3 times to start but does not, the circuit board will record a code and display it with a blinking light. Look on the door panel for a wiring diagram. There will also be a Diagnostic chart that will tell you what the pattern of blinking lights represent.

Good Luck!

While baking oven starts broiling with no input from controller. f2 is displayed on screen

Hello there:
F2
Note: Also see fan thermal switches Indicates that oven is over temperature in one of the following modes within either a cooking or clean mode of operation.
· Control senses oven temperature above 650 degrees F with the door circuit in the unlock mode.
· Control senses oven temperature above 935 degrees F with the door in the locked mode.
· Stalled cooling fan or airflow problem. · Look for welded relay contacts. (Heating elements on in off mode).
· Look for open thermal switch in lock motor circuit. Switch is normally closed and will open if area overheats due to fan not operating. Look for cause - fan thermal switch not closing, fan stalled, etc.
· Look for high resistance in the oven temperature sensor circuit due to high contact resistance (poor terminal crimp, deformed terminals, loose connection) or intermittent solder joint on control or intermittent oven temperature sensor.
· Look for electrical noise interference in the oven temperature sensor circuit (Ham radio, cordless phone, etc.).

Ge frig not kooling but freezer works

the first thing to check is if you can here the evaporator fan running in the freezer compartment.
when the unit is in the cooling mode with the compressor running open the freezer door hold the door switch in and listen for the fan to start running.
you have to give a few seconds to engage if you do not here the fan in needs to be replaced, also look for excess ice build up somewhere in the middle or lower section of the freezer that would cause the fan to stop working.
ihope this helps with your problem best of luck

Sharp r96st stops at 1 sec and halts whilst preheating oven

This is a problem in one of the damper-related components, either the switch or motor or the damper door may be binding.

The damper is a door inside that opens or closes depending on cooking mode. If the controller senses that the door is not in the right position, it will shut down the cook cycle.

Sharp models stop after 59 seconds.

See the attached sample photo for a typical damper assembly.
