Acer aspire 4736z wifi problem

I have purchased dis acer aspire 4736z laptop wid 1gb ram n 250 gb hddrecently, i have problems using the wifi, the wifi button doesnot glow giving me no indication whether it is on or off. however when i switch on the laptop it sometimes shows dat wireless networks are available but when i try to connect it asks me to refresh n when i do it, it says no networks found. i have win xp installed on it.I have installed d necessary drivers from acer.co.in.

once i got connected momentarily but that was it, have been trying to figure out what i am facing but with no success. please help!!!

1.format and reinstall the Windows 7(or) Vista.
2.install the drivers using motherboard disc

Note: some of the acer laptops doesn't work with windows xp with efficient manner like this.

Unexpected shutdown with my acer laptop
if it keeps shutting down/ CRASHING and then it goes to a blue screen leave it for about 30 mins and if it does it again get your RAM upgraded from whatever GB it currently is to about 4, 5 or 6 GB!!

1.it may be due to a loose ram..
2.your laptop may be over heating with leads to auto shutdown

Most laptops have 2 memory slots, if you have 1 Gb of RAM using two 512 Mb RAM then you need to replace them with two 1 Gb RAM modules. If you have one RAM module 1 Gb then you only need to add another 1 Gb RAM module. Try to use the same make and speed RAM.

Can i change 1 gb ram to 4 gb ram of tablet pc
Unfortunately the maximum amount of memory that the Acer Aspire One can have is 1/5Gb of ram. This can only be achieved by fitting 1 x 512Mb ram and 1 x 1Gb of ram.

You can put more memory in but it simply wont recognise it.

How much maximum ram does acer aspire 4520 support? and is it fine if we have one ram of 2 gb and the other of 1 gb?
Your machine currently has this ram (1GB DDR2 667 SDRAM)

You can upgrade to 4GB DDR2 800MHz ram, sell old one off.
If you use old ram you must exactly match to old in speed, ie 2GB ddr2 667 SDRAM.

I recommend renew with matched larger faster ram 2 + 2 GB DDR800

I would advice you to add one gb more with same value, kind and frequency this you can read on the installed module after removing it from your laptop
