-   my 60v500 is 4 years old...i replaced the lamp and what do I get back..a big red screem...after xpendid lot of money..I'soo sad cus I love my tv..know someone is telling me about replacing the light engine and that cus to much money..it sad that after waisting 4k in a tv,you have to put it to sleep because let face it..bad craftman..:(

-   I have a Sony KP-57WV600 57 inch rear projection TV. The screen goes red and the red led light flashes 5 times. A few times the TV screen just goes black, like it turns off. What can I do? Is this an easy fix or an expensive one?-   Guest

Sounds like the red CRT is shorted. I have some magnavox/phillips crts listed on my website for about a third of what they normally go for and i am currently adding The CRTs from a PTV910 43P8431. let me know if you would like me to post a link to the website.
