Question about Canon PIXMA iP4300 InkJet Photo Printer
as you know the Canon Pixma Ip4300 who 2 black ink jets, well the big one ran out, but the little one is completely full. I need to finish a major project without having to run and spend $50 to buy a new big black ink. Isn't there a way I can print with just the one ink?
Please let me know.
The big ink cartridge is for text. The smaller one is for color printing. To be honest, Canon printers are nothing but trouble.

I have a similar machine ip5000. Currently have a problem getting the big one to print and have posted for a solution elsewhere. If I print withjust the small tank it does some black work i.e. type but it needs the other big tank to give full photo pictures.
If you are just looking to print typing try changing your font collour to a dark blue or other. This gets round the black problem but you will need the 2nd black cartridge for full colour work.
Hope this helps.
