Question about Brookstone TinyTunes MP3 Player

2 Answers

Im having plently of trouble with Tiny Tunes.

I have 3 different issues with this mp3. I've had it for about a year now.

1. About 2 months after I got this mp3, the FM radio wouldn't play.

2. It no longer plays MP3 format except on occasion when plugged into the charger.

3. Recently it played a few WMA format songs with a few beeps and moved on to the next track.

I had a similar problem. My black tinytunes locked up from static electricity. Even after resetting, it would would freeze up whenever I tried accesing any menu item.

The fix can be found on the Brookstone installation CD. It's a blue, 3-inch disc with "Brookstone" on it. Put it in your computer's CD ROM and it should autoinstall the SigmaTel Audio Player. You may get prompted during installation that some files on your computer are newer than those on the disc. Choose to keep the newer files if this happens.

After the install, connect your TinyTunes to the computer. If you can, copy any files from the player on to your PC as they will be erased in the next step.

Now look for the SigmaTel MSCN Audio Player folder in your program files. Click on "Firmware Download" within. A window will pop up showing the firmware versions. Tick the "Format Data Area" box, then select "Yes" when prompted. Now hit "Start" at the bottom of the box.

At this point, a couple of blue progress bars will run for about fifteen seconds as the firmware loads. When it's finished, hit "close".

You're done !

Peace.

I phone keeps loseing service keeps saying restore on i tunes and i did and stills keeps on saying it works for 24 hours and then start all over again

If you got it within the last 3 months, you should call 1-800 MY APPLE. If a software restore doesn't fix the problem, it's almost certainly a hardware issue. Your product will be covered by the Apple 1 Year Limited Warranty as long as you purchased it within the last year, and they can repair or replace it as needed.

I phone and i tunes

it sounds like either a faulty usb socket or a driver issue with usb on your system... do you use microsoft update to keep your system up to date and the drivers current? if not you should do so. If you have more than 1 usb socket on your computer try one of those... remember itunes/iphone/ipods use usb version 2 and may not work properly if you have the older usb 1 standard on your computer
