How do I edit a pdf file then attach it to my website? These are fillable applications.

Hi there,

If you are using adobe acrobat, you just open the file and edit what you want, but note it has to be adobe acrobat and not adobe reader. After that you give the file a name and put it in a folder in your homepage (webhost), it is good to make specific folders to pictures and text in those places so you can find them easily again.

When you want to see the file you simply type the address of the folders ex. If you put in "my first page"- "text", then you simply type: my domain name- my first page- text - and the name of the file :O)

Hope that helps
IF NOT then try to return here
Have a nice day over there

I have a letter in a pdf format and I want to add

you have "word" in parentheses. PDF is not the same as MS Word (if that is what you mean). Unless you have Acrobat Professional you will not be able to edit the PDF directly. You can however copy the text from the document into a word processing program (like MS Word) and edit the letter. And if necessary you should be able to republish to PDF format with the appropriate Word add-on

I am on windows XP. I have copied a PDF form on to my local disk. PDF document properties indicate that Filling of form fields is allowed yet I cannot fill the form fields. What do I have to do?

Try this first.

Look at your cursor. If it is a Hand, you have selected the hand tool. If not, go and select the Hand tool.

With the "Hand Tool" selected, go over one of the fields that you can type.

1. If the cursor remains as a "Hand", then the fields are NOT fillable. It can be printed, but NOT filled.

2. If the cursor changes from a "Hand" to a vertical line ("I"), -the one you see when you can type- then the problem is different. If this is the case post again and we can continue the search.

Cannot Create PDF from Word Document Using Adobe Professional 6.0

You can try to create PDF file directly from Microsoft Word. Adobe Acrobat Professional installs a virtual printer on your computer. Print the document from Microsoft Word, but make sure you select appropriate printer from the list. It should be called "Adobe Acrobat PDF Printer", or similar.

Typing in fillable fields

OpenOffice is an open source application that includes a word processing application, spreadsheet application, presentation application, etc which is very similar in style and interface as MS Office. OpenOffice includes a PDF writer that is built into the word processor application, making it simple to create PDF documents from scratch, cut & paste PDF files or convert any documents into a PDF file.

Is it enough?
