I recently installed a NVIDIA GeForce FX5700LE 256MB graphics card into my dell dimension 550, I also installed a new psu to meet the power requirements. I did all this to make my new samsung sinc master 226EW work to its best. Now that I have everything like it should be my monitor will randomly go to black while I am working. It does this about two to three times a day and it stays black for about a minute. Is there anything I can do?

Good Day,
The first recomendation i can make is lowering the refresh rate of the monitor. This is done by going to start>settings>control panel>display. Click the settings tab then the advanced button, click the monitor tab and then set screen refresh rate to your lowest setting typlically 60hz. Let me know what happens.

Hi Jflynn,
I'm not convinced that this is an issue with a driver, but I have to ask whether you've downloaded the latest drivers for the nVidia card.
If not, go here to download them and see if that helps.
