I don't have a solution but here's a couple of thoughts.

1. What were the problems that caused the tranny to be rebuilt at 36900? Were those problems similar to what you are experiencing now?
2. Did they rebuild your transmission or drop in another rebuilt one?
3. If you are still under warranty (I don't know when it was rebuilt), I would hustle back there and complain. In fact I'd do that even if it's not under warranty.

Good luck!

My 2003 Lincnoln Ls has tranny problems! It's

No reason to replace a PCM behind the glove box

I have the same car, a 2004 V8

I replaced the One & only solenoid pressure control pack on mine

Having owned a trans shop in New Jersey years ago, I find your remarks
rather harsh

If they rebuilt the unit correctly , it should be fine & it should not have failed in 8 years,
if you changed the fluid every 30,000 miles, then what happened & why?

What were you told & why are you not back there?

Were updates done on the trans to correct the original problem
or any mention of a dealer flashing updates into the pcm?

2005-07Toyota Corolla Hard to Start/Harsh Shift/Check Engine Light On

There is a known issue with the 2005-2007 Corolla automatic transmission shift logic. The shift points may seem harsh, and the Check Engine light may be illuminated.

There is a technical service bulletin published that will address and rectify this condition.

The diagnostic code P2716 will be stored in the computer memory. The procedure involves replacing the Engine Control Module (the computer) with an updated unit.

The repair is covered, under the factory warranty, for 96 months, or 80,000 miles, which ever comes first.

I hope that this helps Corolla owners out.

I have a 1997 Ford F-150 Lariat, and when pulling a trailer it makes a chattering noise when the gas pedal is pressed down to pick up speed. When going up a hill it will not go passed 40 mph and starts to...

If tranny is manual shift you may have a bearing and or bad gear. Try changing tranny fluid. Check manual for correct fluid may use tranny fluid rather than gear oil. I recommend using Royal Purple fluid or gear oil. This very expensive but will slicken up the shifting and extend bearing and gear life.

I have a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 36k miles. This morning I got stuck in the snow and was going from to reverse to drive numerous times trying to get out.The transmission light came on.The level of...

There is a recall on your tranny take it to a Jeep dealer and tell them you waant the tranny recall done ours did the same thing, there is some seal that goes bad.

Also, I quote this comments form other owners with this problem:
Our 2005 grand cherokee had tranny poblems at 30,000 mi. It was a bearing in the trans. They rebuilt it under warranty. the symptoms: when you shift from park to drive and step on the gas there was a delay and it would bang onto gear. They said this was a problem on a lot of Laredos. Now at 50,000 more tranny problems. not shifting right, the engine light is on and it lights up around all of the tranny indicators on the dash PRND will all be lit up. After several trips to the dealer it is the Trans Control module or TCM at a cost of 400.00 and of course not covered in the 70,000 mi warranty.

Them, I suggtes scanned the TCM for any stored codes there.

Good luck.

Had Tranny rebuilt,Shift solenoids replaced. Still shifts too often on highway from OD down to 4th. could be VSS? also, OBD showing incorrect engine...maybe frayed wires or ECM bad?

first check the detent cable from the trans to the accelorator is is out of adjustment. move the adjuster (((( one ))))) click at a time. mark where it is first then go in the same direction if it gets better keep going till it's right if it gets worse then start at the original spot and go the other direction.you won't need to go too many clicks.let me know

Power clutch vs. regular clutch for '89 civic

Not unless you are going to be towing or hauling a large load. Lots of driving does not mean lots of shifting. Do you do most of it on the highway or dozens of short hops around town? Are you the original owner of this Civic or did someone else put miles on it before you bought it? If it lasted 20 years without wearing out, a heavy duty clutch probably isn't needed.

If you shift a lot with a heavy foot on the gas, a heavier clutch might do you some good but if you are a normal driver who puts lots of miles between up and down shifting, stick with a standard clutch.

1993 Chevy K1500 4.3 4x4 rebuilt 4L60E tranny slipping

I never trust rebuilt trannies unless i rebuild them myslef....Beefing up valve bodies sometime leads to premature wear and tear...the kit could be malfuctioning aswell. Chefck fluids and replace the filter in it, if that doesnt fix it, then take it back to the tech, and demand free service :)
