I have the exact same problem, The camera will take photos inside but will not take photos outside. The outside photo turns out white. Ive tried changing the exposure setting but nothing makes a difference. I called a repair shop they said its the shutter and it will cost $100. The other thing thats happening is when conecting to the computer the computer says there are no photos to upload (there are 40 photographs in the camers)

How do i unlock my memory card on the samsung digimax d53?

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

My samsung digimax d53 camera can only hold six pictures and one video but the memory says 16mb what do i do?

16 MB memory is not a great deal. Check to see if your memory card is being used rather than built in memory on your camera settings.

I bought a 4GB Memory Card for my Samsung Digimax D53. I put it the camera and Try to format it but it says check sd card. I tried another 1GB memory card and it worked. I know that the problem is with my...

Unfortunately, you can't. The D53 works with MMC and SD cards. Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it is electronically incompatible and will not work. Since this is a hardware issue, it is not something that can be changed with a firmware update. You need to use cards 2GB and smaller.

Wanted to increase memory on my Samsung digimax d53

It sound like your card is a larger capacity than your camera can handle. On a quick 'net search I found 2 GB cards are sold as add-ons for this camera, so they should be OK. A 4 GB card might work, but it would be cheaper anyway to just get 2 X 2GB cards.

Card locked

Remove the memory card out of your camera. On the left side of the card is a white switch. Move it to the upright position. Resinstall card back into your camera.
