If we push the panel around the light or the door it will eventually stop flashing and the cycle will continue. It's now happening more often. I'd just like to know if this is a common problem and if so is there an easy fix? I'm thinking that it is either the door lock or the printed circuit board.

Number one Tip, NEVER use self cleaning cycles. They only exist to break ovens and sell parts.

Try disconnecting the mains after about 10 minutes of cool down time. If that doesn't work, you will need a service call to correctly diagnose if the lock solenoid has failed or you need a new control board.

There is probably an intermittent short in the switch that unlocks the doors. Maybe something go spilled on the button that unlocks the doors. The doors automatically lock after the car reaches a certain speed, but the unlock button may unlock them when you go over a bump or lean on the area around the switch.

replace the motors brushes check the filters
and clear any bits of bra wire etc

then reset the machine {usually hold power in and apply the mains}
