I am assuming it is eather laying on the lens or inside the screen. to remove the screen you have to remove all the t20 screews aroud the outside of the screen. the screen can be difficult to temove there is a small plasitic peg on the bottom that has to be remove to remove that you have to remove the front panel. that is with the buttons on it.

IF the moth is laying on the lens or in the screen then what you are going to see is really none of the high voltage or electroncs of the system. When you remove the "screen you will see a big mirror on the back and three cylindrical projection lens aim at the mirror. As alway make sure the set is going to be unpluged. DOnt touch the mirror with you head leaning in to look at the lenses where i suspect the moth is laying. and be extremely carefull not to scratch the inside of screen. I hope you have what is known as a t20 bit that is the special screwdriver bit needed to remove these screws. They are fairly common at hardware store. dont use windex on anything to clean. i am probally makeing this more complicated than it is but with care this is a repair that i believe anybody can do.. keep up with the screws. dont drop any into the set. Well i guess that all the advice i can think of right now if you need any help

Canon Inkjet, Not Printing?

Hi Rosa,
There was a paper jam and you cleared the jam, however you missed out to do one other thing. Cleaning the Rollers.

If the Paper Feed Roller is dirty or paper powder is attached to it, paper may not be fed properly.
In this case, clean the Paper Feed Roller. Cleaning will wear out the Paper Feed Roller, so perform this only when necessary.

You need to prepare: three sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper

1.Make sure that the power is turned on, and remove any paper from the Rear Tray.

2.Open the Paper Output Tray gently, and open the Output Tray Extension.

3.Clean the Paper Feed Roller without paper.

(1) Press the g0081065_tcm14-774017.jpg (Maintenance) button repeatedly until b appears.

(2) Press the Black or Color button.
The Paper Feed Roller will rotate as it is cleaned.

4.Clean the Paper Feed Roller with paper.
(1) Make sure that the Paper Feed Roller has stopped rotating, and load three sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in the Rear Tray.
(2) Make sure that b appears on the LED, then press the Black or Color button.
The machine starts cleaning. The cleaning will be completed after the paper is ejected.

This should fix the issue

I have cleaned the disc multiple times and restarted the system but the disk still can't be read

Hi there,

Check another disc to see if it reads it. If it's still experiencing problems, then the laser inside of your device needs cleaning. If the other disc is working, then you're either using a disc that the device doesn't recognize, or the disc has some sort of deep scratch or crack preventing it from working.

I can't provide more detailed information without knowing if this is a PS3, a 360, or a WII. Regardless, if it is the laser inside that needs cleaning and you open up the console, you will void the manufacturer's warranty.

Have a JVC HD-Z886 61inch, there appears to be some black spots behind the screen. Looks like dust, most at top of screen, not a big problem. Is there any way to clean behind the screen? When new the TV...

  • The most severe problem dust can cause in an LCD TV is a short circuit. This occurs when dust enters the television's casing and settles on one or more of the internal circuit boards. Enough dust can cause a short circuit, which will prevent the TV from working at all. In other cases, it will damage picture quality or prevent certain features from working properly.

Because a short circuit can only occur when enough dust is present inside the TV, this problem happens after the TV has been in use for a number of years, meaning that it will not be covered under the manufacturer's warranty. In many cases of short circuits, repair is expensive, and you are better off buying a new set.
  • Image Quality
  • Dust can also have an effect on an LCD TV's picture quality without entering the LCD's casing. Dust that settles on the surface can distort the picture and decrease its brightness. While it's easy to wipe the dust away, use only a soft cloth and mild cleaning solution to avoid scratching the screen or causing permanent damage with caustic cleansers.

Dust under the screen can be more difficult to clean. Using compressed air to blow the dust out is the best option, short of disassembling the set to clean the screen from the inside. Keeping the surface of the screen free of dust is usually sufficient to prevent dust from getting under the screen.
  • Control Problems
  • Another effect dust can have on a an LCD TV occurs when it enters the space around buttons, making it difficult to control the television. On certain sets, dust will cause buttons to stick or prevent them from engaging when pressed. Using compressed air to blow the dust out, or resorting to using only the remote control, will solve this problem.

The plug going into the phone was not secure. Once it was fully plugged in it was operational. I was making a big problem out of a little one. I thought in cleaning the phone without unplugging it first I somehow messed with the programming. I was wrong. Thanks for trying to help.

Kensington Expert Mouse [USB on a Mac]

I bit the bullet and peeled up the two bottom corners of that sticker and sure enough, there were two short Phillips screws there holding the assembly together. With those removed, it came apart nicely (be careful and don't lose the little idler roller when you dissect the assembly) and the rollers and their shafts can be thoroughly cleaned using tweezers and alcohol. Works perfectly again.

The button under my mousepad on my laptop keeps sticking bad. i spilt some pop on it a few week ago what can i do? can i sort it myself?

If you are good enough in opening the casing of a laptop & then safely closing it back, then you may try opening the casing & the keyboard. The mouse touch pad is usually a seperate unit attached with MB with a thin film cable. You have to carefully remove it from its connector & then try cleaning it with any cleaning spray.I am not very optimistic about it as usually the "touchpad" is a sealed unit & the tiny microswitches will be sealed inside the housing!
