Question about HP Pavilion zd7000 zx5000 zv5000 presario 3000,R3000 Series 120W Laptop AC Adapter-360699-001 CD-ROM Drive
I have an HP Pavilion zx5000 laptop, I tried to shut down, it got to blue screen just before it powers off and it froze, holding power button does not work, CTL+ALT+DEL does not work, mouse moves but righ click not working.. screen is completly blue.. (not old window blue death)
Is there a hidden power / reboot button anywhere or another way to reboot without keyboard or mouse?
Pull the power cord out and the battery (or just let it run out). Then, try turning it back on again. If it does the same thing again then yes it may be old blue death and your harddrive may be worse than dead. I don't believe that the power button doesn't work. Hold it in for 10-15 seconds or so, any computer is DOS programmed to respond to the power commands above all, even above the dreaded blue screens. Let me know if I'm an ******* and I don't know what I'm talking about or if you need more help.
