Question about Televison & Video
I have a panasonic plasma tv model no. Th-42px600a. today i after watching a movie on hdmi mode, i switched to digital tv mode and there was no picture but sound. After pressing the 'i' button on the remote nothing showed up, not even the setup menu for picture and sound. i assume it is the problem of the inbuilt tuner as normal tv worked and hdmi mode worked. is there a problem?
Unplug the TV and disconnect any HDMI cables to the set. If the issue goes away there is a possibility that your HDMI source is causing the problem. Anything on the HDMI can cause odd problems with the TV since the serial data and serail clock lines are routed on HDMI. Those are the 2 commmunication lines used throught the TV for operation so anything HDMI that might load down one of those can cause issues.
