    Hi there,

No, they are not hidden files.

    Tried searching by size.No result.

    Nothing in the Recycle Bin.

Is it possible for someone to delete it from the outside? Meaning could the computer be infected or hacked?

    Regards,

    S.A

Hi,
The easiest way is to go to START/SEARCH Then type in the file name, and see if it can be found on the hard-drive.

    Hi,

Folders And Files Don,t just dissapear.

Have you checked to see if it,s A hidden file.

Or if you know the size you can search for the size of the file.

Failing this you deleted it in error.

    Check the recycle Bin.

    Hi,

depending on the download source, if it was from somewhere like kazaa-morpheus et,c. it could have been a virus.

which would mean that, when the computer was re-booted, the file could be activated as another program.

i,d suggest using a good antivirus software, to check your system.

Recommended AVG Free, also download Spybot-search and destroy.

I,d also recommend in future, that You create a folder on Your Desktop, and Title It Downloads, then download everything there.

this way you know exactly where everythings going to.

    Good-Luck.

When i go to log in on my pc a notice comes up saying i need to reinstall framedyn.dll but dont know how

  1. Open your default Web browser. Search the Internet for a download location for a working version of framedyn.dll, or just follow the link in the Resources section below to download it from a reliable location.
  2. Click the download link and follow the prompts that appear onscreen to save the file to your hard drive. When the file finishes downloading, double-click it to open it in your computer's default program for compressed files. Click the "Extract" or "Unzip" button in this program, and select your desktop as the destination for the file when prompted. This will extract framedyn.dll to your desktop.
  3. 3 Double-click the "My Computer" icon and browse to the Windows system folder. The exact location of this folder varies among the different versions of Windows. In the original 32-bit versions of Windows XP and Vista, the system folder is located at "C:\Windows\System32." If you're using the 64-bit versions of Windows XP or Vista, navigate to "C:\Windows\SysWOW64" instead. If you're using Windows NT or Windows 2000, look for "C:\WINNT\System32." In the oldest Windows operating systems that use this file, including Windows ME, 95 and 98, the system folder is located at "C:\Windows\System."
  4. Left-click and hold the framedyn.dll file on your desktop and drag it into the system folder. Release the mouse button. If the original framedyn.dll file was missing, you won't see any Windows prompts. If it is present but corrupted, you will see a Windows prompt asking you if you would like to replace the existing file. If this happens, click "Yes."
  5. Reboot your computer.

Missing mfc71u.dll from my computer

HI,
You can download the dll file from this link
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dl...s.shtml?mfc71u
and save it to your desktop.

Then unzip the file and save in desktop. Now, go to C: drive -> Windows -> System32 file -> in the file look for mfc71u.dll ... right click on it -> Rename and add at the end .old extension, like mfc71u.dll.old. Now go to desktop and copy the unzipped file mfc71u.dll and paste it into the system32 folder. Close window and reboot PC.
If you don't get the missing .dll message you can delete the two files on desktop.

Thank you

Whenever i save anything from internet, it get saved to the destination in shortcut form and i am not able to open the file. Pls. help

this is happening only when you save from mozila firefox..it even makes a folder for the page setup..
if you want to save a page on the net and acces it again make a short cut in the browser tool bar or ina tollbar that you use...For internet explorer is possible to save the whole page like a short cut on the desk-top for example ...and when you double click it ..(if the explorer is your default browser-meaning principal) its opening the page ..but only in interenet explorer..
If you want to save a picture for example ...whatever the browser is ...open it to the maximum size on the net ...right click on it ..and click save image as.... and choose location and name and save ...if the saving is allowed (there are protected content files) it will save it on the destination of your choice and as a file type you have chosen...
if you want to save a programm..there can be saved only the programs that have a download link ...and the procedure is to click on the download link ..and save file..or choose to open if you want to run it right the way..
for music and other files you have to have a download link also ..to be able to save it like a file..
for movies and music..better use a torrent client and a site like pirate bay ..there are almost all kinda files there including software and so...and the downloads are free there ..all you have to do is to download and install a torrent client program like Utorrent (click to download if you need)
it seasy to work with ...but it only downloads torrents file from torrents sites..here I will link for you 2 free ones..
http://thepiratebay.org/
http://isohunt.com/
keep them as bookmarks and you can search for anything ..music(by title or name of the singer )..movies..software ..games..
after you find what you want ..check to have seeds..and click on the download torrent..and it will open the utorrent program automatically ..and start download..it is a slow process so will not interfere with your speed..it actually depends on the seed..but its free..and usually find allthat you need..
be sure you download and install the utorrent first ..
so ..this will kinda cover all that it could be ...read careful and I hope you will handle well from now .on...Have a great day ..and please do not forget to rate me i this is helpful..!

My internet explorer icon is missing on the desktop and im using windows xp

Is this the only icon that is missing?
If so, find the folder C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer (assuming you have drive "C" as your main drive). You should find a file called "iexplore.exe". If you're viewing the folder with "Tiles" as your view option, you should recognize the internet explorer logo on this file.
When you find the file, right-click on the icon, and select "Send To" from the drop down menu. Another menu should appear, and from there, select the "Desktop (create shortcut)" option. This should put the icon back on your desktop.
Hope that helps.

Hi!

For the Mozilla Firefox browser, the setting is under Tools, Options, and select the Main tab. Under downloads, check "Always ask me where to save files".

Can you give me the name of the browser you are currently using now?

Hi,

When you click on the download button and you try to download, specify the location that you need to the file to be downloaded to from the folders section found on the left side of the "save as" window. This should be it.
