Is there a flash diffuser that will fit canon speedlite 299t?

The Canon Speedlite 277T is a flash and not a camera so you don't need film. Just batteroes.

Check the diffuser is fully retracted. Pull it fully out then all the way back in.

Because this thread is more than a year old, I sincerely hope you figured out the solution to the zoom problem with your flash. I was having the same issue with the 550ex and found the simple solution on a forum about Canon Flash Photography.

Make sure that your diffuser panel (wide panel) is off and securely seated in the top of the flash unit. When the wide panel is in the down position, it forces the flash into manual mode at the widest setting.

Hopefully this little tip will come in handy for someone out there reading this thread.

Can you tell me how you finally replace your wide angle diffuser on your Speedlite please?? I got the same problem. I have order a new wide angle panel and I'm unable to insert it in my flash.

Yeah you should go into the menu on your camera and see if there is anything you need to change!!

your flash has a diffusion panel in front, make sure its in all the way

Make sure the built-in diffuser is pushed in all the way... that diffuser is only designed to work when in "14-mm" mode so whenever that diffuser is down, even just a little bit, the entire display will flash and 14 mm will be shown as the focal length of the flash.

if u set the 580ex on master and the 430 EX on slave it works :) u dont need STE2 for this simple task.
