Mac Driver for Dream Cheeky USB Roll-Up piano

Driver that enables the Dream Cheeky USB Roll-up Piano to work on a Mac

Just bought one of these things. I use Protools, Logic, Garageband and a host of other packages. I dont see this thing as a serious tool at all but the fact that it can roll up and fit into a laptop bag makes it a very attractive tool for portable teaching and simple drum groove work. Its also, apparently touch sensitive which is nice. It does not, however, work on my powerbook. Its not even recognised.

Can anyone help??  I would really like to get this thing working and as you can buy them now for peanuts it would be something that may help others.

    Any thoughts??

I got one of the drum kits last Christmas, but I have a Mac. Finally, this Christmas, I got around to writing a driver for it. I mean, why not? It runs in Terminal and translates the drumkit hits to MIDI messages which you can use to control GarageBand or Logic or send out a MIDI interface to control MIDI hardware. Doesn't have any of the fancy learning modes or anything, though; just lets you play it. Email mail_ben_schmidt at yahoo com au if you're interested. I doubt it would take much modification to get it to work with the piano, which I expect works on exactly the same principles. But I don't have a piano, so I would need to collaborate with someone or have one lent or donated to me to do that.

My drum kit driver has been updated to have a nicer interface and work for both the piano and the drum kit. It is available here:

I was looking to buy one myself as it's just priced right for me right now and it's all I really need as I'm a beginner in music, GarageBand and keyboard playing. I do have a good musical ear though and I bought some software to learn at my own speed called: eMedia Piano & Keyboard Method Volume 1. I'm curious if you tried or knew of the built in Audio MIDI Setup in OS X? If not give it a try. I'm not too sure but it started with 10.2 Jaguar so if you're there or later maybe that will sort things out for you. Post a reply if this helps although I might've took the plunge by now and got one! LOL To learn more about using Audio MIDI Setup, open Audio MIDI Setup, in Applications/Utilities, and choose Help > Audio MIDI Setup Help

Inbuilt camera ( webcam) is not working. Device

I had the same issue... Windows update had installed an updated driver that 'broke' the camera... just roll back your driver and you'll be fine.

*I think MS has fixed this issue and the new driver from windows update is working correctly. If not just roll back to the original and all's well.

Ive conected my philips webcam SPC110NC to the usb port in my computer and ive tried to use it on windows msgr. no pic has showed. me and the person im connecting to have the same camera, neither one can...

What a joke. You have to install or at least configure drivers (from Philips; read what came with the camera for a site to get drivers by) for the camera to work. Then, when you can select the camera as an input device and 'scan' images (e.g. in GIMP or IrfanView or some photo tool) from the Philips unit, you're ready to configure Windows Messenger to use it. After that...you should be seeing pictures fine.

It's like you connected a piano to an orchestra, but no pianist (or more directly, a camera head to a vision controller, but no shutter sync control.)

IDE TO USB CONVERTER CONNECTED TO SPARE DVD BURNER. MAC G4 DOESN'T RECOGNIZE THE BURNER. DO I NEED A DRIVER?

Hello there,
First things first:
1) Did you enable on BIOS all USB ports?
2) Install all USB drivers?
3) then use another port USB 2.0
3) it is suppose to recognize it now.

Nope...sorry..USB drivers from Mac side are few and far between. Only on some of the more recent IMacs and MacWin products does that happen. Odd, isn't it?
